Review Summary
West Tennessee Pediatric Dental received 91.5% positive feedback, with patients praising the fantastic staff, family-oriented atmosphere, and expert care. However, 8.5% of the feedback was negative, primarily citing appointment difficulties, insensitivity to children's needs, and rushed consultations. While the practice is appreciated for its child-friendly environment, it needs better scheduling strategies and patient sensitivity.ScoreDoc Score

My girls have been going here for years with no issues. My middle daughter is autistic and they are great with her.
Took my daughter here for a dental procedure which had been causing pain for some time. That night she was up until 1am in pain. Called the office to ask for a doctor’s note for the second day. I was told by the office manager, Amber, that per the doctor’s policy they only give a note for the day of the appointment. Rather than being sympathetic and understanding that each child is different she told me they have two and three year olds come in for dental procedures all the time who go back to daycare and preschool the same day. I then called two other pediatric dentists in the area who said they would have no problem giving a doctor’s note for an additional day if my child was having problems. There are definitely better options in the area.**Edit: real question. As a parent of an eight year old who only gets five parent notes in a school year for stomach bugs and things that don’t require a doctor’s visit why should I have to use one for an actual medical procedure?
I would give this dentist office 10 starts if I could!! They are so great with our kiddos!! We love them ❤️ such a blessing!!
My child needed a dental appointment asap for a broken tooth. All appointments are booked out until October. This is the third time(Different occasions) I have tried to book an appointment and received these results. This office should have a plan or a setup for children who have been referred to you for emergencies!!! No one offered to add my child to the waiting list and the office manager stated she was too busy to speak with me! Hopefully something will change with scheduling!!!!
I just took my son here as a referral. They did not let my husband go back with him. They said they don't put kids to sleep knowing he had to have a lot of work done . My son was screaming from the back your hurting me and crying and when my husband tried to see what was going on the nurse was very rude and said there was a lot of work to do (which they already knew) and that he wasn't cooperating and walked off . Long story short he didn't get seen with them and we will take our 7 year old all the was to Nashville to get proper service.
My son had the worst experience with the female doctor there. Kids are very timid when it comes to going to the dentist or doctor. Everyone there was pleasant and patient until we got to the doctor. He didn’t want to get on the table so I attempted to soothe him and talk him into getting on the table to have his teeth examined. It must have took to long because she picked my son up and tossed him on the table. She was truly heartless in that moment. He was very upset at that point. Even down to the point of talking about the work he needed done, she was just very rude! Everything about the encounter was just horrible. We found a new dentist immediately!!
My son has gone to this place all his life but for one year he lost his insurance so he didn't go. I called because my autistic son was in terrible pain and I explained how he's been in pain begging for help for 4 days over a holiday weekend and the horrible woman on the phone was just more concerned that we hadn't been there in a while so she said she wouldn't let my son come in because it looked like we'd been seeing another dentist. Absolutely petty and heartless punishing a poor kid who's in pain crying for losing his insurance because you are more worried somene went to a competitor.
Fantastic staff. Clean and lively facility. Very family-oriented and fun. My youngest niece is having surgery this morning & I am confident that all will go well.
My elder son used to use this office and we moved, so we moved him and his little brother to a dentist's office closer to us. Such a mistake! We recently went back and they are so good! Dr Williams has the best bedside manner and he even called, personally, the next morning to check on my kiddo after an extraction. I only wish we had switched back sooner. Appointments are a little tough to get, but it's because everyone loves them so much!
Today was our first visit at WTPD! We loved it! Everyone was so sweet and informative! We came from another dentist office to this one and I am so glad we made the change! They explained things to my daughter and myself every step of the way! I highly recommend WTPD!! ❤️

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
