After family physician diagnosed me with RA she sent me to see Dr. Dewit. After she realized I was disabled she asked me if I had EVER worked? Really no new solutions for a complicated case.

Terrible bedside manner and completely missed my diagnosis. Had she been competent I might not be in the condition I am in now. I honestly don't understand how she keeps her medical license, I have seriously considered legal action. For your own sake don't see her!

Dr. Dewit has helped me manage my RA and I am now enjoying a good quality of life again. She is through and genuinely cares about me as a person.

Doctor did not make a correct diagnosis, (after repeated questions from my wife regarding her rapid weight loss and an inability to swallow), of my wife's esophageal cancer, attributing her symptoms to RA. Poor and uncaring in communication and bedside manner. Later, after another doctor made the correct diagnosis she called my wife and stated "I am sorry the RA masked your cancer symptoms, at least the chemo will give you time to tell your loved ones goodbye".

This doctor watched my wife lose 40 pounds in about 3 months while under her care for RA. In the end, my wife was diagnosed by other doctors with cancer. Dewit ignored the signs of her condition and suggested that the weight loss was due to RA. I feel Dewit was too focused on RA to deliver an honest medical diagnosis. My wife's condition has diminished to the point of little possibility of her recovery.
