I don’t know Dr Bonfardin super well. But he was kind and listened to me about huge concerns I had with my husband, who was being treated by his NP, Kristi Hurst. BEWARE of Kristi Hurst. Bad practice. She didn’t even try to acquire any of my husbands previous medical records. Kept him waiting for well over half an hour for most of his sessions. And even though she was always “running behind” with all of her other sessions so that she was late with his, she never talked to him for more than 5 or so minutes. Never talked about anything of value with him in any of his sessions. RUDE. When there were issues with my husband overtaking a highly addictive controlled substance that she prescribed to him, she simultaneously acknowledged that she couldn’t talk to me about him because she didn’t have a signed release, and then also blamed me for not trying to talking to her about him during his sessions.

Worst doctor I've ever worked with. When the medication he prescribed didn't work for me, he kept me on the same medication for months instead of trying a new one, until finally I requested something else. Later, I ran out of medication because I spent over two weeks trying to get ahold of him and couldn't, then he called in the same prescription twice on the same day because I had left both a voicemail and an email and he didn't realize I was the same person. Spent appointments telling me irrelevant stories about himself. Pressured me to take a prescription of sedatives even though they are highly addictive and I told him I didn't want them.

Very perceptive and in tune to our teenager's needs. He told us precisely what would happen before the behavior occurred. No doubt, he knows teens specifically. We plan to continue treatment and sessions with Dr Bonfardin.

Dr Bonfardin treats patients with great respect. He searches for facts, underlying general medical problems and other data before prescribing medication. In my opinion he's the finest psychiatrist I've associated with.
