Never will recommend this man. He has the most worst bedside manner I have ever seen from a doctor and he told my wife who was dying thatshe was making a career out of staying in the hospital when she had to have fluid removed in order to live. She like to come to the hospital to have the fluid removed because they could be more aggressive and they had the rapid responders and he had the gall to tell her that she was making a career of staying in the hospital. I am writing this review in honor of my late wife who cannot do it herself unfortunately. She was treated very badly by this doctor and I am he in writing this review one doctor would want to get rid of all the fluid before she went home and he would override that doctor's decision and send her home and I think that he is partially responsible for my wife's death of last year because he would not let her stay in the hospital to get all of the fluid removed. This doctor is very heartless and it is a shame !

My husband is seeing Dr. Wiegand as a consultation and is very happy with the interaction. Dr. Wiegand took time to explain everything to both of us and was able to answer all of the questions that either of us had of him.

My Father has seen this doctor for 2-3 years now. His Kidney Function just kept rising higher and higher. He did offer dialysis several times. When it was 2.0 nothing Pill wise was offered, now we are at the point of needing it, of course my Father refused it but was not educated enough on exactly what dialysis consisted of, what different ways it could be done. Please make sure when you are seeing a doctor that he sets you down and explains all the information that you need to educate you so you can make the right choice. We have now talked to him about it and he has agreed to take it and headed to NC for a second opinion on what kind he should take and educate him more on what to do. Again please ask lots and lots of questions or you want get told.
