Online Reviews Breakdown
List of James Battle's Reviews
I have had 2 cataract surgeries and 1 YAG Laser OS by Dr. James Battle at the Johnson City Eye Clinic in Johnson City, Tennessee. I have had no problems with all procedures. Both the Eye Center and Dr. Battle have operated with clear and specific instructions and have done everything to make sure I understand the information. I just completed the YAG procedure and was called about a day later to see if all was OK. I told them it was and will have a complete follow-up shortly. I have already recommended Dr. Battle and this clinic to one friend who is now under his care. I have personally found that the clinic operates like a well oiled machine and the services they provide are personally oriented and professional in all aspects. This has been my experience and so I freely and with good conscience recommend the Johnson City Eye Clinic and Dr. James W. Battle for medical services. Allen E. Sellars 1-10-43
indifferent, defensive and provided bad recommendations
He spent about 10 min with me and "hurried me through the test." I made a remark about my eye doctor telling me something and he said " I am the doctor >" I felt he was intimidating. He said I "Had to make a decision "today " about my eye surgery." I told him I didn't understand. He rushed me through the test. I said Dr. Battle, wait a minute, I am very sensitive to bright lights. I had already been there for over 2 hours. I don't feel that if he is this way, then I don't want him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
