I LOVE this office and Dr Rupe is the BEST always so friendly and caring and he listens to you really listens that makes a huge difference would recommend this place to anyone who needs amazing health care and wants a Dr who really cares

I went to Dr. Rupe a week ago with an infected cyst on my chest. He had prescribed an antibiotic capsule over the phone a few days earlier which was not working. I had a few caplets leftover of the medication my earlier doctor had given me for the same infection in the same spot 3 years ago. Dr. Rupe refused to give me a refill on this drug, instead telling me to go to the Emergency Room in Bristol and wait for an ER doctor to slice the area open. Instead, I went to our local Urgent Care in Abingdon, waited a short while. The Urgent Care doctor immediately called in the prescription for the drug I needed. A week later and the area is almost completely healed. When your primary care doctor refuses to give you the medication which is proven to work, it’s time to get a different primary care doctor.

Terrible doctor. First question he ask me was why was I in isolation. Did not get the orders for my diet right until the day I left. Gave wrong diagnosis to insurance and cost me several hundred dollars. Incompetent is the only word that comes to mind.

Took my 91 year old mother to ER, slow, terrible customer service, half the staff were on their cell phones, one nurse totally unprofessional and unkind to an elderly person. Only professionals were the ambulance drivers who took mom home, Luke and John. Bottom line review: I wouldn't go there if I was dying. Next time: I'll spend the time to drive 30 minutes to BRMC.

I have been waiting to see a Dr for almost 4 hours. Just sitting in a room. One of the most frustrating ER experiences ever.

Took my 8 month old daughter to ER at 12:00am running a temp of 100.3 with bad cough. We are still here over 2 hours later they did an rsv test and told us it would be back in 20 minutes. And never came back to tell me the results. I'm honestly not even sure who her nurse is. We have been waiting on an Xray for over an hour. And they haven't even Been in to ask how we are doing. With myself this would be a different situation but I have my 8 month old daughter here with her twin sister at home with her grandmother waiting on us.
