Left a huge hernia after Gallbladder surgery worse doctor do not recommend

My visit was several years ago… I had been sick with my gallbladder for a while and it got much worse and I went to the emergency room. I was sick as a dog and looked rough. I requested Dr. Hodge because he done my uncles surgery. The whole process was awful. I was given to much medicine after telling them I was extremely sensitive to medication in which the reply was you don’t look like someone who is sensitive. When I woke up I could not breathe and blacked out. He didn’t remove all the air from surgery which left me in a lot of pain, and my belly button scar is horrendous. I’ve had several doctors ask about it and who done it and were surprised . My thought is he was annoyed that I requested him and had to come in on a weekend, after hours. Post op visit wasn’t any better. He didn’t know who I was or remember my surgery. I know this review is late but he scarred me literally for life in more ways than one and it’s never to late to speak up.

Michael has years of experience with the most complicated abdominal surgeries avoided by other surgeons who opt for the simple lucrative cases. The patient with the poor outcome is the most likely to write a review and the poor outcome is often the result of a predictable high risk which is shunned by surgeons interested in their reputation and income rather than care of desperate patients seeking care.

Love this man and his staff I would give them 10 stars best bed side manner I felt safe with him like god put a gift in his hands to heal takes all the time with you that you need makes sure you under stand everything I love this staff may god bless you all.

I absolutely love dr hodge and his team! He has excellent bed side manners and he makes sure your taken care of! So glad I chose him for my weight loss surgery, I couldn’t say enough good things about him. Appointment time is really fast! If I could give them more than 5 stars I would because they deserve it!

Worst surgeon i have ever seen. Takes the staples out way to early them you have,to wear a wound vac, forever and when you have,sensitive,skin like mine it is. A,challenge plus now have to miss alt more work than i was prepared to miss
