List of Rajani Anand's Reviews
Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Dr Anand is kind and takes plenty of time to explain things to you. Rachel did the echocardiogram on my daughter and my daughter loves her so much now that she draws her pictures and tells me repeatedly that Rebecca is her new friend. I am so sorry to have missed getting the name of the tech that did the ekg, but she too was super friendly, patient and kind. I have taken another child to a different practice in town and this one is far superior.
My daughter had an SVT attack in September where we went to Niswonger for. Once everything was okay we were told to follow up with Dr. Anand. We saw her on September 29th at which time she placed a heart monitor for a week. Once that week was up we were told to send it back to the company and they would send the results to the doctor. The monitor came off on October 6th and I took it straight to the post office. I also got a tracking number so I could make sure it made it to the company. They received it on October 8th. The results were sent to the doctor on the 14th, which I only know because I called the company. I was trying to be patient but also a worried momma wanting answers so I called on the 18th. At that time I was told she was on vacation and wouldn’t be back until the first week of November. Which at that time would have us waiting 3 weeks for results from the time I sent it in. Since she hadn’t signed off on the results I wasn’t even able to get a copy and neither could our pediatrician. I ended up calling the monitor company and signing a release to have them sent to her primary care so I could get a copy. That’s how I knew they sent the results on the 14th. I waited until the afternoon of Tuesday November 1st to call and see if she was back yet and was told she would be in the next day. I again waited until late afternoon and was told she only worked that morning but they would have them call in the morning which would have been November 3rd. I finally heard from them on November 7th. In that 19 second conversation the nurse kept referring to my daughter as he/his. She clearly couldn’t be bothered to look at my child’s chart and see that it says female. I completely understand that doctors deserve a vacation just like everyone else, even more. But my problem is that if you’re the only pediatric in the practice then have someone there that can fill in while you’re gone. She might be a great doctor and I am in no way discrediting that, but as far as our experience I wouldn’t recommend going to a practice that only has one doctor. I ended up getting the report from the company and taking my daughter elsewhere while waiting for the results and had a much more pleasant experience all around. To make matters worse, I received another phone call today (November 10th) that went to voicemail. When I checked the voicemail it was the nurse again leaving me a message stating the same things as the phone call on the 7th. So we talked on the 7th and she clearly didn’t make any notes since I got another phone call for the same results. And to add insult to injury, she still referred to my DAUGHTER as a boy! Get it together ETSU!
I'm sort of conflicted about leaving a one-star review because my child's actual doctor (Dr Dina) is a good doctor. After the experience I had today with our nurse (nurse Janie) I'd rather find a new Dr than put up with being treated the way she treated me and my children. As soon as we got to our room she YELLED at my son (he's almost 3) for touching the door. I thought maybe she's worried about him hurting himself. The condescending tone never went away.. We went to weigh my 2month old, and she snapped at me for placing my daughter head towards me vs feet towards me. My son asks me if he can use the sink to wash his hands to which the nurse snaps at him not to touch the sink because it's just for display (he wasn't anywhere near the sink he was simply asking) The Dr examined my daughter and was great as usual. My daughter needed her 2mo shots today, and lucky me, same nurse.. I lay her in the exam table and she says, "hold her legs, I'm not going to bother the other nurses with this." After the 1st 2shots I lean forwards to blow in my daughter face to try to make her take a breath before she passes out. I'm told to get out of the way as she shoves in front of me. The checkout sheet is given to me, and I ask if the Dr was able to fill out the paperwork I had requested earlier. Nurse says it's in the door and leaves.. I was so irritated and ready to leave after all of that. Sure, the nurse did her job, but her bedside manner was absolutely awful! It takes a lot to get under my skin, but the nurse we so bad that I have spent the last 10min leaving a 1star review and will spend the next 10min finding a new clinic for my children

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
