I have succeeded in getting & staying clean with a TRULY GREAT quality of life 100% due to Dr. Smythe and his employees! Oct. 6, 2018 they worked me in WITHOUT PAYMENT because I was serious! They worked out a payment plan and genuinely helped me break these chains! Office mgr & Nurse Practitioner Jerry was instrumental in my freedom from addiction! I’m down to 1/4 a pill daily & will b without any meds soon! If u truly want to be clean, not a different high,THIS is your help! It FEELS like the front staff are my friends in this journey... the whole place feels like family.

He is an arrogant fool. Talks down to his patients and spreads rumors. Called DCS on someone because he didn't like them. He will sucker you in and then use your need for help against you. He is a terrible Dr. Would not recommend him to a vet's office.

An arrogant man, filled with hate. Dishonest treatment plans, dishonest payments plans, cruel demeanor and personality. Arrogance has no place in a doctors office. He runs a methadone clinic, and always mentions that fact. Bragging. It is sad to see a doctor who says he dislikes stigma and wants to banish it, use stigma and Dr. Smyth does enjoy using it to demean degrading, humiliate and shame the patient.

Awful staff, not helpful, not punctual, lacking knowledge. Generally a mean person and cruel. He revels in seeing people sick. I went to Catalyst Health Solutions in Johnson City Tn and Overmountain Recovery in Gray TN, and both places his incompetence outweighed any other aspect of himself. This Dr, violated every single HIPPA rights that exists. He invited secretaries and nurse practitioners into the examination room, during a private consultation. I was left vulnerable and openly exposed. Also, he exploited my weaknesses and created faux psychological premises and then kept breaking, the very rules he sets, specifically in order to commit subterfuge. He curses and uses fowel language around his patients. The most subversive act of Along with trying to force patients into decisions, through intricate deception. He was unwilling to listen to me, unresponsive to questions that I had or concerns. Had a dishonest payment plan.

Dr. Smyth is great. The 3 of us have been going to him for yrs. Would hate to need to change.

He has treated me for 9 yrs. He is the one to see for pain control but if you want a high you need to stay home. He has really helped me through the years to have some quality of life. He is very professional in his treatment.
