He's to big for his britches! This is another one of the WORST. HIM AND BEKEE JENKINS ARE BACK STABBING. TWO FACED, HATEFUL SO CALLED DOCTORS. DONT WASTE TIME WITH TRASH FROM ETSU. THEY WONT CALL BACK, THEY WONT CALL IN MEDS. ETSU IS TRASH. THEY BLAKBALL PATIENTS THAT ARE CURRENTLY DYING AND DONT CARE IF YOU DO. STAY AWAY FROM THE ETSU BUNCH!!!

Been waiting now for over a week for blood test results to be relayed to me. First I tried just to get a referral to the heart center he said no he wanted to run blood tests first. I’ve been having chest heaviness and minor aches and pains with very low energy’s. He has me on three blood pressure medications 90% of my family have died of heart issues and he doesn’t see the need for me to be checked out by a heart specialist.

My son was in today 1/28/22 to see Dr Metcalf, he was extremely rude and unprofessional, he lashed out at him because he wasn't vaccinated, the entire visit he made rude, sarcastic remarks to him regarding his weight, told him that he would die quicker from obesity than from a Covid vaccine, my son normally sees Dr Kauzalarich which is extremely kind, caring and compassionate, in the future he will not see this doctor!!!

He was very short and impatient. He was argumentative and in this case, he was wrong about his facts. I Love his staff, but I have had too many issues with his unprofessional behavior.

If you’re looking for an inattentive and compassionate doctor who will listen to your medical problems I wouldn’t chose him. I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy or a pet fish!

Well, Dr. Metcalf was recommended by some of my medical colleagues as I was needing a new doc. He is easy to communicate with. Very knowledgable about the broad spectrum of family medicine. Of course, I felt him out to see if he was as good as they said. After many years of medical practice, I needed to be able to relax and depend on updated medical opinion/advice, which he consistently has provided. So, after seeing him again recently, he responded to me on a Saturday to follow up to see that I was doing ok from a medical problem he was managing for me. This consistency over time with me and reflected earlier by my colleagues of making sure patient care is followed thru is somewhat rare these days. Yes, he obviously followed his heart and chose his career to help others. His nurse is excellent, friendly and actually cares about patients beyond just having a job. His office staff is courteous and I can tell they personally care. 5 stars is barely enough. Rare, not typical.

Dr. Metcalf is a EXCELLENT doctor. He has been my doctor for a very long time. He actually cares about his patients and listens to his patients and does whatever he can in his power to help. I would recommend him to anyone, I trust him with my life. And I know he's got my best interest at heart. I absolutely adore him for taking care of me for the last 20 yrs. If you need a doctor I highly recommend Dr. Metcalf DO, Family Physician in Kingsport TN.
