List of D. Metzger's Reviews
Do not waste your time (or your heart health) on this physician. He will send you for tests and then not follow up with you. Does not return phone calls, is very full of himself and has an arrogrant, condescending disposition. His staff is just as bad. Doesn't deserve any stars.
Dr. Metzger is very thorough. Explains in a way you can understand . His nurses usually answer and return calls very promptly. Highly recommend .
Multiple stents placed in lower left extremity end of Oct. 2021 to increase circulation. Now the middle of May 2022 and my condition has not improved. I've had one follow-up visit with the NP (Christy) on March 17th, 2022, and she recommended Dr Metzger to see me in 2 months. Visit scheduled for June 6th. I tried on May 16th to get appt sooner but was told by Cathy (very rudely) that will not happen then was advised he will not be there. I was not given any alternatives or other options. I have not spoken to Dr Metzger since my surgery.
Other than being a Statin pusher Metzger may well be a sincere medical professional. The problem is his staff, they are rude, incompetent and as a result the office is always over Booked by 30 minutes to an hour. Twice I walked out of his his exam room after waiting 31 minutes I do not trust the motives of entrepreneurs motivated by greed.
After being seen by him once I do not trust or recommend this doctor, especially with something as important as a heart problem.
I went in a dead heart on the right side because of 100% blockage. Left side arteries were 95%, 90%, 75%, 70% and I don't remember the last one blocked. It took a man with the patience of job to roto root the arteries out and then put in 5 stents. I can only say one thing for him. I am truly blessed he was there when I needed him the direst. I had just had 2 possibly 3 heart attacks a couple days before. Dr. David Metzger truly saved my life
I had to change Drs. For the last 3-4 times, I was there, I never got to see him. Always his NP (Christy) Don’t care for her. She needs to work on her beside manners. Told her my left arm was heavy. When I was my arms up, to wash my hair, it hurt. She told me to have my husband wash my hair. Seen my new Dr. He done a lot of test. Next morning, I was having a balloon put in. I could have DIED!!!!
Dr. Metzger is amazing he truly saved my life. He is very caring, respectful, and explains everything to you in detail and answers any questions you may have.
A one star rating is too high! He is arrogant, dismissive, and is not interested in seeing his patients. He has phone calls with an 89 year old who has had a long time history heart disease and was suffering from erratic high blood pressure rather than see her in person. The staff are the same. Thankfully, the new cardiologist and internist saw her immediately and corrected Dr. Metzger's incorrect diagnosis.
Dr. Metzger has been my Cardiologist for several years now, and to be frank, I couldn't see myself going to any other Dr. I am able to get in contact with him any time of the day or night ,and never have to worry that he won't get back to me for a week. If I need an appointment, his office will always do what they can to fit me in. I am very happy with Dr. Metzger and his team.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
