Eddie Ko's Online Review Report Card

If I could give no star, I would've done it. My mother-in-law has been seeing Dr. Ko for a long time from the time he was working in North East Medical Center to the time he has his own business now. He's just getting worse and worse. He's basically getting very money-oriented. My mother-in-law was discharged from hospital recently and went to see him within the first 2 weeks per the hospital's recommendation. The day after she saw him, he got some fax from the durable medical equipment company asking him to sign so that it can continue to deliver the incontinent supplies to my MIL. He would not sign and ask my MIL to go see him again. I told him that she just saw him the day before and it's not easy for her to go out as she just had a surgery which made her wheelchair bound. Dr. Ko wouldn't care about her hardship to go to the office and the fact that he just saw her for check up the day before. He wanted her in the office or else he wouldn't sign the paperwork. Plus I saw a sign in his office that he would charge for each paper that he signs. I don't exactly remember how much it is; I think it's around $25 each. That's not it. This "doctor" also has poor bedside manner, very impatient and did not listen to patients' concerns. I accompanied my MIL to see him and both of us felt rushed (my MIL felt rushed inside the exam room and she actually just went in and came back out within 5 min) and I also felt rushed when I asked him questions. I am now in the process of looking for another doctor for my MIL. Stay away from this doctor! He's just for money, not for the passion of being a good doctor.

The front desk staff is amazing and thorough. Dr Ko has zero personality and horrible demeanor. He answers the phone to his office and just says, “Hello”. No into, no this is Dr Ko, so strange and unprofessional. Very weird experience overall.

Are you kidding me? Dr. Edward Ko has 3.5 star at there. He isn't worth any star at all. He never able to diagnose patient, except told patients go to emergency room and write referral letters. Whenever you ask for his professional opinions on health problem, all he knows is to keep asking you other questions, such as do you want a flu shot, do you need to go an emergency, let me write you a referral, or check you on the basic vital sign. He never listens to patient and cares patients' concerns and feeling. What he cared is to claim your insurance payment, whenever you need a medical report, he and his receptionist always require you to come back to see a doctor for it otherwise, they never release a medical report to patient itself. Overall, Dr. Ko's clinic should stay away from it, from the receptionist to the doctor never have a heart for caring patients. They don't keep the promise, and never follow up with patients' about their returning lab report. BAD, BAD BAD DOCTOR THAN EVER IN MY LIST.

This doctor charges $25 for every paper work that needs to be filled out or signed. He charges no matter if you are senior or low income. "Money hunger" is the word to use for this doctor. I don't think this is the right thing to do for circumstances like this. This doctor should not be charging people for paper work that needs to be filled out or renew. Some patient come here is because they are senior citizens or have low income wages. They are not able to afford this kind of payment. This doctor called his pt to come into clinic to renew her annual paperwork during this pandemic and charges for pt coming in to clinic for an office visit. This is not right! Pt who needs renew paper is a senior citizen and disabled, they are not suppose to come out at this time. For her to come out to see the doctor is wrong. The doctor not care able patient, one care about how to charge people from their insurance.

I want to give zero if I can. Not responsible at all. They requested pt who is over seventy go to the clinic during COVID-19 just for sign a paper and charge for $25. What a shame!!!

Visited Dr. Ko after hurting my neck and back. Reception was very nice and friendly. Scheduled appointment was on-time. Dr. Ko was super helpful and made the pain go away. Highly receommended!

My 10+ year back pain improved a lot after seeing Dr. Ko. He's a life saver; definitely the best chiropractor in Vancouver!

The only thing this doctor has going for him is being a Harvard University Medical School graduate but that has nothing to do with his level of professionalism, character, responsibility and trust. Everyone knows that vaccines such as flu, pneumonia and hepatitis are recommended and the patient has the right to refuse it but this doctor will tell you it's mandatory by law on more than one occasion and you might get away with it during a regular office visit but if it requires a referral that might or might not have surgery involved, he will tell you that there is hospitalization required even though it's a small hospitalization, he will once again say those vaccines are required by law and basically force you get the vaccines. The vaccines are probably where his main source of income comes from as he can bill the insurance companies for it so his profit margin is higher.If the patient complains to the insurance company, he will respond those vaccines are only recommended but not legally required by law in writing since I am sure if he said it was recommended by law in writing, it will jeopardize his license to practice medicine among other liabilities. For someone that won't even admit what they said being in a profession that is supposed to be caring with a sacred heart, and placing their health care in his hands and trusting him, do you think one really should even see him since he will probably make all sorts of mistakes while being completely irresponsible. In any case, stay away from this doctor at any and all costs!

Dr Ko is very friendly and approachable. He listens well to my issue/problem, adjusted me and provide very valuable tips and exercises! Thank you Edward.

I first started seeing Dr. Ko back in 2012 in Queensborough New Westminster. He's caring chiropractor that follow through with his patients; and willing to go above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. He seems very kind to his receptions and staff as well! Love the new clinic at Marine Gateway, so close to my home in Marpole. Love it! Keep up the good work Dr. Ko!!!
