Unsympathetic to patients who cannot afford every test or procedure she recommends. I told her I could not afford to keep having shots in my back every 6 weeks. When I told her I could not clean my floors due to pain, rather than try to prescribe ANY medicine to alleviate my pain, she told me I should get someone else to do them for me!! If I can't afford medical procedures, how can I afford to have someone clean my house? Will send patients to pain management for shots every 6 weeks which costs insurance companies anywhere from $7500-$15,000 per shot. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR TO ANYONE!!!!

Daughter went to Dr. Shafer on Friday very sick...chest congestion, wheezing, coughing. Dr. did blood work would not give her anything but inhaler. So sick she ended up going to clinic on Saturday. Walking pneumonia. Unacceptable that a dr. would not give a patient medicine to help her get well. This cost my daughter more money when it shouldnt have. Most Drs. love billing your insurance!! Would not recommend this Dr.
