I went to Dr. Ken Smith after having an MRI. Was referred by another doctor. On my first visit he looked at my MRI images. He states to me that he could help me with a surgery. He then said he wanted to do a MYELOGRAM test to see if there were anything else going on before surgery. I did the MYELOGRAM test. Went back to him to review the test with him. He reviewed the test and then want an EMG test done to see if I had any nerve damage. He stated that after I get that test done. That my next visit would be to schedule my surgery. I went to the final appointment. I went in and met with him. All of a sudden he says he’s not comfortable doing surgery on me. Along with all these visits he had a NP Carla Cheek. She was the most uncaring person. She made me feel like there was nothing wrong with me. Making me feel like that I was lying about my pain. So I had Dr. Smith saying he could help me out. The NP Carla Cheek acting like I wasn’t telling the truth. But my imaging stated otherwise. I felt discriminated against. That maybe my surgery wasn’t a big enough case. All I know the man says he can help me. Then all of a sudden he won’t. He lied to me. I wish him the best.

Dr. Smith placed a shunt in my brain to drain excess fluid from my brain. The results were excellent and gave me a new live.

I had a larger tumor suffocating the nerves around my spine. He literally saved me he was AMAZING with surgery he stepped up when No one else would I will forever be greatfull for him and his team. 10/10 recommend

I had an appointment over two weeks ago for excruciating pain in my thoracic section. Dr. Smith said he wanted me to see his buddy that there was a place in my neck he was concerned about. He said he would call him and get me in. Oh how they talk a good game in front of patient. My appointment was scheduled for June 2023. lol The only way I can look at it is God is protecting me once again. Dr. Smith or his so called buddy is not the doctors for me.

I have normal pressure hydrocephalus and Dr. Smith placed a shunt to drain the excess fluid from my brain to my abdomen. The results have been excellent, I was walking with a cane and headed to a wheelchair, but not after the surgery as I am walking without a cane and greatly improved. I highly recommend Dr. Smith.
