List of Kenneth Smith's Reviews
I had a larger tumor suffocating the nerves around my spine. He literally saved me he was AMAZING with surgery he stepped up when No one else would I will forever be greatfull for him and his team. 10/10 recommend
I will never go back.
I had an appointment over two weeks ago for excruciating pain in my thoracic section. Dr. Smith said he wanted me to see his buddy that there was a place in my neck he was concerned about. He said he would call him and get me in. Oh how they talk a good game in front of patient. My appointment was scheduled for June 2023. lol The only way I can look at it is God is protecting me once again. Dr. Smith or his so called buddy is not the doctors for me.
After almost 2.5 years of problems organizing a one-night carer for the surgery, and funding due to the loss of my primary income, I finally had all my ducks in a row and called to schedule a lower face and necklift this April 2022. I had made my downpayment for my surgery scheduled for October 2021. Ten minutes into the phonecall, the lady advised I would need to show a vaccine passport. Irrespective of one's personal views on this passport, evidence that it "keeps us all safe" as the lady put it is sadly lacking. There is not one shred of evidence for this. The low star rating for "knowledge" reflects this aspect, and not surgical knowledge. I requested my downpayment be returned, and it was, but I now question the consultation fee, which I would not have paid had I known that this divisive policy would be introduced. There is no mandate/requirement for passports in surgical suites, nor is their evidence to back increased safety. It is an arbitrary decision that fosters division of society that should be viewed at best as ill-advised, and worst, abhorrent. Nonetheless, it is the clinic's decision to be made, not mine. Not offering to refund a consultation fee is also the clinic's decision and a little "unclassy." Yes, it was the surgeon's time, but I have lost more than six months believing I would be having my surgery. Surely a call could have been made to those with scheduled surgeries and/or downpayments so that alternative arrangements could be made. I see the other commenter here was called. This said, I would like to make it very clear that I was extremely impressed with the clinic during the visits I made. The premises are lovely, the staff are polite, kind and efficient, and Dr. Smith both professional, warm and thorough. I wish everyone well, as I write this from the heart with disappointment, not malice.
Dr. Smith placed a shunt to drain excessive fluid from my brain. Life changing for me with great results.
Placed a shunt do drain excessive fluid on my brain.
This was the absolute worst Dr I have ever seen. Absolutely is the rudest, most unprofessional, and unkind doctor. At my appointment he discounted other physicians analysis of scans. He said he just throws those away because he never reads these because they are wrong. He totally was acting like all I wanted was to be cut on. This man is absolutely crazy. Im not sure of others, but that is the ...
I had a consultation schedule with Dr. Smith. I waited for months to see him and just a few weeks before received a call asking for my vaccination status. I was told that unvaccinated patients would not qualify for surgery due to the latest public health order. There is no such order for elective surgeries so this was simply by choice on his end. In a time of such division, it was disappointing to experience this with a physician that used to be so highly respected.
P.S. I made a typo in my comment below. I intended to say: “ Let me add that I’d anecdotally heard several ‘bad’ things about the doctor and clinic but this was not AT all my personal experience. ” It was stellar experience for me, so of course I’m relieved and delighted. Not everyone has walked this same path at the Clinic and to those who have been disappointed, I’m sorry. For me, it was a genuine success and I’m thrilled.
I can’t speak to the final result yet because it’s only been eleven days since the surgery ; however, I can say emphatically that it surpassed my expectations in every respect. The consultation, pre-op, post-op and recovery were flawless. Oprah with her millions couldn’t have had a better experience. I didn’t have a general anesthetic but don’t remember a single thing about the surgery itself. As for the results, I’m waiting a few weeks to see how everything turns out but so far, I’m pleased. Let me add that I’d anecdotally heard several ‘bad’ things about the doctor and the clinic but this was not all my personal experience. It was the polar opposite: From beginning to end, it went smoothly. Everyone in my circle was reassuring, thoughtful and skilled. I was told by one source that my procedure cost fifty percent more at this clinic than elsewhere. I don’t know if that’s true but I would unhesitatingly pay the extra again for the quality of my experience. Now let’s hope the final result is as state of the art as everything else up to now.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
