Kingsport Medical Center's Online Review Report Card

The staff are wonderful. The doctors are very thorough in regard to making sure their patients needs are met. I have been coming here since 14yrs old and am now 31 and haven't had a single problem.

There dr. Don't help me. Then change 348 dollar just to see you for 5 min. Very time I go.

I called almost 3 weeks ago needing my thyroid pills refilled. I told the receptionist the truth that I was working alot of over time and was not sure that a day off was any where in sight. I work in a nursing home and at the time was eat up with covid. Since I had been exposed, they didnt want me coming in there which is understandable. She said she would send the message back. Not only did I not get my meds, they didn't even have the decency to return my call!! I told them I am not allowed to have my phone out and to feel free to leave me a voicemail. I got no response. I ended up talking to a dr online who understood. Not only did he call me in the meds I needed, but gave me 90 days worth plus a refill of another 90 days. Gives me enough time to get thru covid and find a new dr. This place lost me. I woulnt waste my time. Going to the health dept is better than going here!!

This place has gone down hill. The front office staff is very disrespectful and nurses are the same and they dont call you back when you leave a message it takes week or more to do so. The doctors are great. But I am going to be changing I cant be treated with disrespect

The doctors and nurse practitioners do not care at all! The only people that do care are a couple of nurses.

This place stated they could not call me in my medication that I have been on since 2013 because I failed a drug test I had a prescription for from a doctor that I had just transferred from. I brought in all of my medications for my intake appointment and I had even had several left in the bottle. I wasn’t asking for the medication they said I had failed for. It was the newly controlled gabapentin which I had requested a lower dosage. Unbelievable. Thanks guys. I’m glad that other people have had a wonderful experience here but I didn’t. Could it have been my tattoos and piercings. Have a blessed day. I only hope that I can find a doctor with more of an open mind.

I am so thankful for this place. I have Tenncare right now and I know most providers aren’t fans of it. Once I’m out of school, I will be able to actually get better insurance but I will probably still continue to go here. The staff is absolutely wonderful and friendly. My DR Matthew Wood is one of a kind. He will actually listen to you and do what he thinks is right. I feel like other doctors in my past have made me feel crazy or feel like I’m overreacting but he always makes me feel justified. I feel like I can talk to him without holding anything back. I would definitely recommend this place.

I love my doctors at Kingsport Medical I do not deal with depression letter good on all my other needs

I've been going here for over 10 yrs..They take people with and without ins.. Rare in itself these days. The front office staff are phenomenal, nurses the same Dr. , F.N.P. ( mine Ms Catherine) P.A.s also knowlegable you can't tell difference in Dr.or p.A.s or F.N.P. in their skills. I'm also treated like family there as I am there more than most with varied medical problems that they know me as soon as I walk in to sign register. That's endearing to me personally. When I didn't have pharmacy assistance they kept me in blood pressure pills ,fish oil , lots more the b..p. Meds I'm sure saved my life til I had heart stents done 4 yrs ago. My primary care keeps all my medical issues and treatments needed on track when I've needed home health she and her nursing staff were on it before so got home from hospital. They have set me up with I.V. meds at home when needed. If your sick in various ways they have I.V. fluids in the office certain ones to keep you from having to be admitted to a hospital which sometimes works and worth a try if possible if not they will advise you to go to a hospital. I've been under a huge amount of medical care and Kingsport Medical Center in my opinion is awfully hard to beat. You may have to wait awhile for your first appt. , but you will get excellent care thereafter. Thank you staff JENNIFER

This is the WORST so called "medical center" I have EVER been to! They base their treatment of you on your age, sex and race! They refuse to work with you when they know you are on your way and running a little late but if you get there on time, you are sitting forever waiting on them. So if you're appt is at 4pm and you get there at 4:16pm, they will NOT see you! I'm having some serious health issues right now. Was having trouble getting there. They know about the issues but then REFUSED to see me because I had an episode. How awful! I hope AND pray that they or their relatives get treated the way they have treated me! I want them to feel my pain, disgust and anger because instead of them looking at the problems I'm having, they just look at my age, sex and race!
