I experienced a botched routine cataract surgery by a doctor in Boone NC. After 6 months in agonizing pain and destroyed vision, I asked for a referral to see Dr. Kleinman in Johnson City, TN. Dr. Kleinman repaired the damage removing the bits of lens that were in the vitreous, eliminated the floaters of which there were many, cleared my milky vision and repositioned the artificial lens getting rid of the blinding halos. My vision is now 20/20 and no more pain. I heartily recommend Dr. Kleinman.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Kleinman to anyone with serious eye problems. He is very professional, and is great at explaining procedures, care, and follow up to surgery! I'm glad I had him as my care provider!

Very Professional, very personable. He went out of his way to do an emergency surgery on my eye at a hospital he normally doesn't use. He made it work and I am extremely grateful for that. Otherwise I would probably be blind in that eye. He worked on both my retinas and I am satisfied with the results so far. Lots of patients tend to slow down appts. but I am retired and have no pressing schedule.

Dr. Kleinman is always very professional and treats me with respect and explains everything in a professional manner. Dr. Kleinman treated me for a detached retina and was 100 percent successful. He also treated me for scar tissue on my eye and was very successful. I have nothing but high praises for DR, Kleinman and if my friend had not got in touch will Dr Kleinman then he would be probably blind.

Dr. Kleinman completed urgent retinal reattachment surgery on my eye in January of 2020. This surgery was successful. Before, during and after the surgery, I found Dr. Kleinman to be competent and professional while also being reassuring and personable. I had many questions and he took time to answer them at the time of my surgery and during all appointments post surgery. The only negative thing I can say has to do with the wait time at the Southeastern Retina Associates Bristol Office. All of the staff are friendly and efficient, however, each visit to the office for a scheduled appointment takes more than 2 hours from arrival to departure - most of which is sitting in two separate waiting rooms. My appointment today took 2 1/2 hours. It is my opinion that they should schedule so that each patient does not have to take so much time for each appointment lasting 5 to 10 minutes with the Doctor. There must be a better way to schedule patients as their time is important too.
