I spent an hour with my X pulmonary doctor Dr Girish at his Kingsport office trying his best to persuade me to take the covid shot an it went on so long that I totally forgot to tell him about my problem. I contacted the VA after I left and told them they just wasted their money on an appointment that they sent me to be checked out for or discuss my problem with. This was in July 2021. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE

My experience with Dr. Girish is that he truly cares about his patients. Right now with the pandemic it is understanding that as a lung doctor there is probably a lot of stress in that field. Though the wait times can be long, it was worth it to receive the best care one can find in East Tennessee.

Dr. Girish does not listen to the patient. His rushed judgement lead to my insurance not covering service. You should find a doctor who will actually listen to your symptoms as you know when something is wrong.

I have now fired this guy. Appointments are always hard to schedule and require me to leave work and have someone sub for me while I am away. On the first appt, I had an hour and half wait; on the 2nd appt, I had an hour wait (is this improvement?). On the 3rd appt, he was not in the office (his staff mailed a cancellation the day before my appt; strange when they have my phone number - obviously the notice did not reach me before my 10:30 appt. On my 4th appt, I had just gotten my cpap two days before, so I spent time and money for nothing - the was nothing he could do for me. On the 5th appt at 9 am, I left after an hour, without seeing him. I have mentioned more than once to him that he has organizational compliance issues in this regard and seems to have no regard or respect for the time and money that his patients spend waiting for him at scheduled appts. I would give less than one star for promptness if that was possible.
