List of Peter Platzer's Reviews
Only in practice for the money. Needs medical license revolked.
Even though Dr. Peter Platzer is now retired, I just came across one review post about running away from Dr. Platzer and him being a scary person. That is absolutely FALSE! I was a patient of Dr. Platzer for years at HMG even before he went into private practice and went with him when he started his private practice. Dr. Platzer is the best!! I have missed him so much since he retired over a year ago and just wished that he was still in practice but know that everyone deserves to be in retirement when they reach his age. My husband and I were his patients and he was so easy to talk to and he would spend quality time with his patients and didn't leave them wondering what any test results showed. He was thorough ... oh, how I miss him as my physician. He was a knowledgeable physician and anytime my husband and I went to him, he would prescribe medications for whatever was ailing us and he was right with diagnoses and treatment. I learned to fully trust him with my husband and my health. My dad was one of his patients, too! Dad died in 2008 but for years when I would take dad to see Dr. Platzer, I was always so pleased with the treatment he gave dad. Dr. Platzer called him "Pop" which made dad feel so welcome. One day when I took dad to see him, it began to rain after we got into the exam room. Upon leaving the exam room, Dr. Platzer's wife got her umbrella, walked dad to our car, and helped him get his seat belt on and was comfortable. That was greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten. She worked there for her husband in keeping his records and bookkeeping. I saw him not long ago at my orthopedic doctor. When I came through the door, Dr. Platzer got up from his seat and came to greet me and gave me a hug. He was a patient there since he had both knees replaced after retirement and I had one knee replaced with the other one still to go. I set with him and his wife in the waiting room. They are two of the sweetest people I have ever met! In all my years, I never had another doctor that I really liked and probably will never find another doctor just like Dr. Platzer! I don't know what happened to the person with the one review but he/she needs to know what they are posting about and stop trying to ruin someone. All hands to a wonderful man, Dr. Peter Platzer!!!Dr. Joyce Noto, Ed.D, LMSW
Dr Platzer is a kind and caring man. He goes the extra mile to help them
I have been a patient of Dr. Platzer’s since he moved to Kpt. He is the best doc I have ever been to. He always has time to listen to you and whatever your problem is he will find it not by running unnecessary tests. He can not be replaced. I wish him the best of luck with his retirement but I know I will miss him and his staff. Thanks for everything
He is caring and considerate of his patients. He is all about the patient.
He is the best doc in the tri cities area
BEST family provider ever !
Dr. Platzer has been the ONLY doctor in the area that would actually help me with my Hashimoto issues and he took time with all of my concerns, explained things to me, and made me feel like everything is going to be okay again. I wish that I would have found Dr. Platzer sooner! All of his staff is very friendly and helpful also.
Best doctor in the area - and I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Staff is not friendly at all, not to mention always running way behind and not willing to help the ones that actually need the help.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
