Raymond Compton's Online Review Report Card

Doctor Compton is an amazingly gift surgeon and compassionate human being. I presented in his office with an infected pilonidal cyst that a chiropractor told me was an infected boil. I listened to this back cracker until, one day, I simply could no longer sit. He, Doctor Compton told me what I had, prescribed two rounds of antibiotics (the chiropractor sent me home with an expensive magnet that he instructed to put in my right shoe) and took me to surgery one week later. All is better. I would recommend Doctor Compton to anybody needing and thoughtful, kind and very competent surgical care

Best doctor ever. Takes time and listens. Really seems concerned about any problems you may have. Knows what he is doing. He literally saved my life.

Dr. Compton operated on me June 8, 2019 for a major problem described as an exploding stomach ulcer. He released me on June 14 and scheduled mefor therapy on June 17. At the therapy session I was asked to stand and stoop. Upon stooping the bandage on my stomach gave way. My wife was at home at the time. Phone calls were made and it was suggested I return to the hospital. At this time the therapist cut a trail leaving my wife to deal with the problem. By the time we arrived at the hospital the stomach opening was 4 to 5" and my intestines were visible. I talked to Compton on 10/1. He denied any responsibility and hung up the phone before I was through talking. The bandage was obviously not sufficient for therapy as scheduled by Compton. I have been unable to learn the name or company associated with the therapist. I spent 27 days in Hospice followed by 16 days of skilled care because of this incident. Dr. Boyd did the second operation and I had no problem with the incision or recovery.

Never said this before about a Dr., but what a total JERK. Made it clear he had 13 years of school to earn the privilege of being called Dr. as a scolding statement to a patient that referred to the referring provider (a PA) as a Dr. Seriously, yell at a patient because they thought of the PA as Dr. Med school includes training on bed side manner, so it is obvious someone did not go the full 13 years.
