Cumberland Heights Arch Academy's Online Review Report Card

Our son was at Arch for about 3.5 months after prior residential care at another facility. The staff at Arch is amazing from therapy to nursing to school support. Each person involved with our sons care gave 100 percent of him or herself. We are thankful for his time there and for the tools that they gave both us and our son. We would highly recommend this facility.

Nobody wants to write a review of a rehabilitation facility but I have to say that Arch Academy was a God send for our family. As many other reviews have mentioned this was an overwhelming situation we found ourselves in and spiraling fast.After 88 days our son was in a much more positive place mentally and had the tools and desire to maintain sobriety. Even when there have been arguments and the ups and downs of dealing with teen emotions he is able to handle the interactions in a much better way.The staff was great to work with especially as they tried to navigate Covid and all of those complexities.

ARCH Academy is an elite treatment center with outstanding staff The intake finance medical and counselingtreatment aspect of this facility are very well organized and thorough. The facilities at ARCH are top notch and provide a safe and engaging space for the patients. The program at ARCH provided just what my son was needing and they were able to tailor his treatment to meet his specific needs. This is truly an amazing place that produced actual change in my son resulting in a much better home situation true recognition of his addiction and a desire to work the steps and stay sober.

ARCH Academy saved our son’s life. I believe this with all my heart. We were thrown into the world of addiction with little notice. We were ignorant of our son’s problems. After an overdose we thankfully found ourselves at ARCH Academy. We were scared ill informed about addiction and grasping for a life preserver for our son.During his stay at ARCH we had weekly counseling sessions with our son and his counselor. We had weekly checkin video calls with our son and we corresponded with his counselor probably every other day. We started seeing changes in our son’s behavior and attitude fairly quickly. He embraced the recovery program and with every checkin he looked more like the son we’d thought we lost. He was happy funny and determined.After a 90day stay we brought home a completely different young man from the one we had taken to ARCH. He has encouraged us to continue some of the habits he built while in treatment such as a morning community and evening 10th step and we are communicating daily and with honesty. Our son went from being an angry and defiant teenager to becoming a flexible understanding young man with a purpose. He participates in zoom alumni calls has been attending local meetings daily and is proud of each new day that he is clean and sober.When we learned that one of the only treatment centers for adolescents under 18 was several hours away from our home it felt like another gut punch in our attempts to find help for our son. Little did we know that we were making the best decision we’ve probably ever made as parents. The ARCH program works. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The staff are amazing the campus is beautiful my son tells us the food was fantastic. We are forever grateful to everyone at ARCH. We are taking things one day at a time and we are truly loving each day.

Cumberland Heights staff is wonderful they went above and beyond my expectations they were always there to support to my son and our family.

Arch Academy worked with us to develop a plan focused on our sons specific needs. It was not an easy process but with their top notch counselors and their educational experts working together he successfully completed the program designed for him. Our sincerest thanks to giving our son an education on many levels that he can draw from as he goes through the trials and tribulations of life and as he experiences the great feeling of success in lifes endeavors. Arch was the second rehabilitation facility that my family tried for my child. The first attempt at a facility in Florida was a complete failure and amounted to nothing more than paying someone to baby sit my child for a couple months only to have him relapse hard immediately upon release.Arch Academy was therefore a pleasant surprise in comparison to the Florida program. Arch involved my wife and I in counseling sessions with our son. They helped all of us learn to communicate more effectively with each other. And ultimately they sent home a young man who was better equipped to take responsibility for his actions and remain sober. When my son came home I feared we were going to encounter more of the same behavior that we had seen in the past. Instead I am seeing a completely different person and am enjoying the experience of my son as he really is not the selfdestructive teen that we had struggled with for years. I cannot say enough good things about the outcome that we have seen. I cannot say what the future will bring but I can say that Arch has given us a good present and hope for the future.What is even more incredible to me is that my son has told me how much he enjoyed being at Arch. He did not always like it and at times struggled against their help. But retrospectively he has told me how good of an experience it was. He has even kept in touch with some of the kids from the program.It is a hard thing to do putting your child in a rehabilitation facility. And as often is the case when it comes time to make such a decision it is a confusing difficult heartbreaking thing to have to do. As much as can be avoided such a decision is not something that should be made in a rush lest one might end up putting their child in a facility like the one we experienced in Florida. But we took our chances on Arch after receiving several positive recommendations and speaking with the staff. It turns out this was the best decision that we could have made for our child. He truly has come home a different person and is actively working his recovery. I could not be prouder of him and I cannot say thank you enough to Arch Academy.

When we first realized our son was in trouble and needed help we were lost and had no idea where to turn. The adolescent facility in our state was going to cost us $16000 for one month and that was with insurance. How do you help your child when there is not a lot of services set up for them to get the help they so desperately need. We were referred to Arch and so the 7.5 hour drive started to get our son the help he so much needed. 77 days later and we got to pick up our healthy child and we were able to get back a piece of him we haven’t seen in a very long time. Arch was dedicated and so helpful through this entire process and has guided us in setting up all his aftercare needs as well. I would highly recommend Arch for an adolescent boy or parent looking to get their child the help they need to over come this disease.

I went through Arch when I was 17 years old not only did they help me turn my life around but they also helped me get my relationship back with my family. The staff there was so amazing. This place saved my life.

I don’t know if I can find the words to truly express my gratitude and appreciation towards this place and what it has done for my life. I am forever thankful to ARCH Academy for their hard work dedication and hope they have given my family. The staff here are extremely informed and educated about addiction professional and passionate about the work being done This place has truly saved my life.
