List of Anna Kosentka's Reviews
She told us that all of my daughter’s problems were in her head and nothing was wrong. After going to Vanderbilt and meeting with QUALIFIED specialist, we find out that she does have several chronic illnesses that are not “all in her head”. She was not pleasant or helpful. She also made my daughter breakdown for three days because she made her feel crazy. We will never go back.
She was both horrible in bedside manner, and in diagnosing my son. Luckily, she was so condescending, and treated us poorly enough, I sought a second opinion with Vanderbilt University. I had BEGGED her to send my son for an extended EEG bc something still wasn’t quite right after she started him on daily Keppra, for complex partial seizures. I was told, by this “doctor”, that I was “crazy”, overprotective”, and “seeing things that weren’t there”. “It’s normal to worry, but not everything’s a seizure”. Thank GOD, they disagreed with her on our first visit to Vanderbilt, and immediately scheduled him for the 3 day test she so patronizingly deemed unnecessary. We didn’t have to stay for 3 days, only one bc they were able to capture FIVE seizure in that time frame. Same one I “wasn’t seeing”. This led to an additional medication AND speculation he may have never needed the one she prescribed. Now he takes both medicines, bc going off the Keppra is riskier than keeping him on it. She’s terrible and inept, please pray before you let her treat your child!
AMAZING DOCTOR! Appointment was @ 9:45 am and was out by 10:15am with ALL my questions answered. Explained everything EXCELLENT! Highly recommend Dr. Kosentka to everyone1
Terrible! ZERO stars was not an option, although it was my first choice! Thankful her lack of empathy and condescending nature led me to Vanderbilt. She told me I was “crazy”, “overprotective”, and “seeing things that weren’t there”. She called my son a BABY, and hurt his feelings tremendously. Most importantly, she said my son absolutely had NO need for the 3 day extended EEG I was asking for. ...

Dr. Kosentka always has time to talk to you and explain everything you ask. Very kind and knowledgeable and gives a very thorough exam. My granddaughter loves her. We always look forward to our appointments!!
He best, most comprehensive care. Knowledgeable, kind, honest
Dr kosentka came and saw us while we were in the hospital recently for seizures with my 7 yr old daughter. She is great personality and bed side manor. She seems very passionate about her work. And in my opinion she is a very well rounded neurologist and, person to work with for your issues
Dr. Kosentka is phenomenal!! She was great with my pretty shy 6 year old-got her talking and giggling! She prescribed medicine, gave us a list of food to avoid and paperwork to track the migraines. When we came back 4 months later, explained we decided to wait on the meds and track the headaches, she was completely receptive! She explained everything very well and answered all questions and concerns patiently in a helpful way. She helped us to understand another piece of the nf1 puzzle.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
