Bruce Ramshaw's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Ramshaw handled my complex hernia repair that other doctors had been uncertain of. He is compassionate, kind and extremely skilled. I cannot imagine a better combination to find in a doctor. Thank you to Brandi as well. What a team!

Dr. Ramshaw literally gave me my life back. He successfully removed my abdominal mesh about six years ago and it was such a game changer. I went from chronic debilitating pain requiring ice packs daily and heavy pain meds to living a normal, productive life pain FREE!!!! I highly recommend Dr. Ramshaw, an amazing surgeon and quite honestly the best at what he does.

I suffered for 9 years with major hernia related issues. I went to a lot of Dr.s and supposed hernia related experts. He is the number one surgeon in America! I am years out from my last visit. I am nearly 100% after thinking I would never get over 40%. He is great, his team is great and his bedside manner is second to no one. I would definitely use him again if need be. I traveled from Texas multiple times. He is awesome!

After suffering for a year from mesh implanted by another doctor, I went to Dr Ramshaw for a second surgery to remove the mesh and seal the hernia the old fashioned way. Dr Ramshaw did a brilliant surgical repair. He is highly skilled, patient centered and genuinely interested in the person. Highly recommend.

Dr. Ramshaw is the best surgeon that has ever operated on me and I have had several. Things to remember and consider when considering mesh removal, what is your pain level prior to your surgery. For me it was excruciating pain because my mesh devices (2) of them had turned to a concrete type of substance and was tearing my insides apart. The mesh adhered to my organs,nerves,and body tissues. I had mine removed in 2017. Dr. Ramshaw and his assistant went out of their way to bring me a antiemetic to my motel room at 9:30 pm to stop my nausea. This is usually called in to a pharmacy for pickup. This makes it hard for me to understand 1 star terrible reviews. If your pain level is not real bad do not have this surgery, for monetary reasons or because you saw a TV commercial by some law firm stating how bad mesh is for you. For some mesh is not a problem, mine started having reactions as soon as it was put in. I stated about pain levels above because you could end up with more pain after removal surgery if your pain was low or non existent prior to a removal. I will not lie to you, most likely you will have some pain after such a invasive surgery, but the key for me is that I feel better after my removal than before. Am I pain free ? Heck no, but I have pain from all my surgeries also in one form or another. Nothing is ever the same after being surgically repaired. He is a great surgeon but let’s not forget he is a human and all he can do is his very best, and for me and my circumstances he was a God send.

I'm suspect of the 1 star reviews because I can say, without question, that Dr. Ramshaw is highly competent and one of the most personable doctors you'll ever meet. Patient and thorough. Sorry to those who didn't improve, but pain is subjective and doctors, to some degree, need to take the patients complaints at face value. Lots of variables, and we all respond differently. Personally, my mesh removal stopped inflammation and rashes caused by immune response. Pain has subsided and I only occasionally get a twinge in the area. I hope he doesn't retire...he's a specialists specialist and is needed by patients in a field that has few.

Don't waste your time on this guy, find a surgeon that isn't so full of himself. I wanted to knock him out, he has no idea what you are going through and doesn't care. Do your research and find another surgeon. Dr. Eduardo Parra Davilla, celebration florida. Hands down the best surgeon in the world. I am running around today because of Dr. Parra Davilla. Bruce Ramshaw has some serious issues in his practice. Stay clear of his games, the pain is not in your head, it is real and can be fixed, Don't listen to Ramshaw run the other way.

mesh removal is not the answer. far worse than i ever was.

I Highly recommend Dr. Bruce Ramshaw as he is a genuine compassionate,well educated,personable doctor who listens to his patients health problems so as to learn what is really going on. Unlike others who just want to make their own prognosis without talking and listening to the patient who knows their body best. You can see the concern in Bruce Ramshaw at your very first visit. Wish he was still in Florida,but I will travel to Tennesse if he is able to help me with my hernia problems. LINDA.

Two years ago I had mesh placed unknowingly into my left inguinal region. I could not stand for two weeks so I went back to the surgeon and she said I would be fine. I went to her partner who told me “some people must learn to live with pain”. Dr. Ramshaw and the team at UT are the best and I will say as a doctor I have never said that about anyone except myself Ego, no some are. After two weeks I am back to work, I feel much better, people see it, If you are thinking of removing the mesh do it
