Terrible. Totally botched my biopsy. 4 hours after, I was in emergency with my blood clotting. He admitted he should have done things differently. He tells me in emergency room that my biopsy shows I have cancer. All he wants is to remove it. Says the local proton place "is having financial problems". I guess he doesn't know they were bought out by the hospital he works through. I asked about my genome test, which he didn't order until a month after my biopsy, and he says, "Oh don't worry about that." I asked about an MRI, he said it's not necessary. He is an absolutely terrible urologist.
He is very professional, informative in that he doesn’t want to move on to next patient. His bedside manner, skills and care is beyond reproach! Highly, highly recommended!!!!
Exceeded all my expectation with respect to treating my prostate cancer. Answered all my questions after I was diagnosed with respect to clinical implications and in explaining the benefits and risks associated with all my options. Successfully removed my prostate via a radical laproscopic prostatectomy. Provided professional support with his PAs and NPs before and after surgery. I am in remission with no indicators that there is any disease present. I enthusiastically recommend Dr. Ramsey if you have urological medical issues.
I have never met Dr. Ramsey, but the office is impossible to deal with. The third time I called,I spoke with some who barely spoke English. After 15 minutes, that person asked me to hold on for a minute, I was on hold for 43 minutes and the got disconnected. From there it went from bad to worse. The wrong medicine was prescribed 3 different times. I have cancelled the appointment with Dr. Ramsey because I do not trust the Practice at all.
I had been paitent of Ramsey for years . Mostly positive care . Then the Dysfunction hit. Staff was clearly upset by being controlled by equity firm .entire complexion of practice went very bad . Couldn't get appointment with Ramsey , or even talk to him. Too busy . I ended up having a very very serious medical problem because no one had time to investigate my illness. Saw another Neurologist , he found my serious problem first visit .
Used equipment that was broken. So had wait with spacer in bottom until he returned & took biopsy. I was hurt for 3 wks. Both my wife & I spoke with billing dept. Got cpt codes and they told us it would cost $713.00 & we asked what all it cover & is that all I owed. They said yes .have it all on recording. We called insurance about cpt codes & insurance gave us pring that match what Tn urology billing price that I had to pay before they would do surgery. Now TN urology billing has raised prices after the surgery was done to bill me more money when they gave me a price and said thats all I owe. Surprised billing. I have it on recording from insurance & TN billing. Get it in clear writing before surgery not just receipts. I am canceling return appt. Hate to be straight out lied to and doctor should check equipment before using making the whole process more painful and embarrassing.
He decides to tell my dad he'll need both kidneys removed plus other non sense without having the MRI or other tests done yet. He was very rude & demeaning.
I had a kidney stone in 2012 and talked to Dr. Ramsey. He preformed a Lithotripsy -ESWL and he indicated I would have an 80% chance of resolving- break uo the stone. I had the procedure . 3 Days later I felt very weak like there was something going on and went back to the hospital. I was rushed into at least 2 rooms and was so weak. I understood he apparently clipped my kidney with the shock wave and I was bleeding internally. I was given 4 pints of plasma..blood and was glad to be back home..and alive. I went to another doctor who did an entitally different procedure and removed to stone. Think twice before you use this guy
professional and fast. Easy to talk to!
Very good and kind Doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
