List of David Reath's Reviews
I went to Dr Reath to get a lift and 2 sizes up on a breast augmentation. When trying on sizers, my husband liked 300. I said that didn’t look like enough. Dr Reath assured me over and over it would be what I needed. He was way more interested in what my husband wanted, I felt like I wasn’t even in the room. I also expressed bleeding issues, I got ignored. The day of surgery I woke up with the right side hurting. I was told not to worry. When I got home it felt like what I imagine a gunshot would feel like. Called Dr R he said it was nothing. When I went back he said I had a terrible bleed. He wanted to do another surgery, I was too scared. Something didn’t go right the first time. I was in severe pain for 8 months. All I could think about was I would have my dream body soon. All of the swelling went down, my size went away. I wear the same size bra I wore before. When I expressed my feelings all I got was anger. This was the worst experience of my life. Think about it.
Dr. Reath appears to prefer the young girls. Also, his office makes a big deal about wearing a mask (so do I), but as soon as I opened the door, I saw an employee wearing her mask under her chin. And the receptionist constantly moved her mask up and down. Extremely disappointing.
Dr Reath is nothing but an absolute one of a kind doctor and surgeon. My dad was the victim of a terrible logging accident in 1995. He was rushed to the emergency room by ambulance, and soon we would receive a recommendation to amputate my dads foot. My dad was in terrible pain and his foot was a mess. Dr Reath along with Orthopedic Dr Randall Robbins kept a promise to my family they would do every thing in there power to save my dads foot. These wonderful talented doctors were sent to my family by God ! I say this because today many many years later my dad still lives his life normally. He was able to return to work 6 months after this accident and retired several years ago. The surgeries and repair were a long process but once it was done there's not been any issues or return visits in years. God given talent. Dr Reath is amazing. My daughter is 18 years old and when she approached me about possibly getting a breast reduction I knew exactly the only surgeon I would trust to do such a procedure on my baby girl. We look forward to seeing you soon Dr Reath! Grateful!
The staff is so very Nice ! And Dr. Reath is Amazing I had a Breast Augmentation and he was very Professional and great bedside manners. And was very helpful with helping pick my size. He done a great job and I love my New look ! I would recommend anyone to Dr. Reath !
I am beyond thankful that I found this place. Christy is fabulous. She takes time to discuss my wants and needs and then we get to work. I appreciate the office staff too who are always friendly and helpful.
I thought I would counter the reviews posted about Dr. Reath. Debating the procedure outcome rather than semantics might be more productive. I have had injections done by Jill and she really is great. She is informed, caring and one of the best injectors I've gone to in Knoxville. She's great with the cannula technique and not many are. As for Dr. Reath, I have not had any procedures done with him but when I have encountered him in his office, he has been pleasant and approachable. Perhaps you should thank him for not going through with a procedure he felt might be unsafe. Many other surgeons could care less as they're more concerned with making money. The mark a true surgeon is one who doesn't honor your every wish.
Post script: Dr. Reath - "your" response (via Lisa R.), is not acceptable. Based on the information printed in your own magazine and website, I was very much a "good candidate," otherwise, I might have consulted with a different plastic surgeon. I believe the excuse you gave was that you 'disliked the medications' I'm on. Please recall that we were discussing Cool Sculpting, which is still a non-invasive procedure, is it not? Based on your condescending response here, it only proves my point: that you didn't even listen. My feelings are not so delicate that I need to be handled with kid gloves. I have no problem with the truth, but I dislike being summarily dismissed after little more than a glance, which was certainly all you gave me. Your bedside manner was nothing more than simple bad manners. My original assessment of you hasn't changed.
I waited two months to see this doctor, because I'd heard good things about him.David B. Reath, M.D. is an absolute and utter jerk. He barely gave me the time of day - in fact, it took me longer to get dressed after seeing him than he actually spent in the room with me. He made it clear that not only was he was not interested in doing anything I was asking about, he wasn't even willing to spend a couple of minutes to suggest options I might look into. I left feeling even worse about myself than I did going in, and since I've been at war with my body as long as I can remember, I also got to enjoy the humiliation of feeling horrible about myself all over again. This, from a man who (based on a puff article in a local publication) brags about how much he "cares." NO, he doesn't. If his entirely can't-be-bothered/you're-not-worthy demeanor with me is any indication of how he treats people generally, I can tell you I've met restaurant hosts who have done a MUCH better job of making me feel welcome or valued.Maybe he's just one of those vanity surgeons you always hear about - the kind who does expensive procedures on people who already look great, and then points to them as examples of "his" fabulous work. I guess I'll never know! Thanks for nothing, Dr. Reath!Note: The "puff article" I referenced above was from a local source. It was an entire puff magazine, put out by Reath himself. Maybe he thinks he's Oprah.
**Beyond fabulous** I had a mommy makeover 5 years ago with breast enhancement. I look amazing! My breast’s look natural! I will only use Dr.Reath for any/all procedures! I still go there for Botox with Jill! I love Christy for dermaplane & facials but can’t seem to get in with her she’s booked 2-3 months out. Highly recommend!!! I have since moved 3 hours awayb& make the drive to go here!
I've always been small chested and have never been comfortable with my own body because of it. After breastfeeding two children and turning 26 this year, I accepted the fact that my body just was not going to grow them on its own. My results are phenomenal. I was really worried that I might not get the look I was wanting from implants, but they are perfect for my size. My healing is happening much quicker than I anticipated, and my scars are already concealed fairly well and are hard to notice if you aren't looking for them specifically. Dr Reath and his office staff have been so welcoming and informative over the last few months, in consultation, pre-op, surgery, and all post-op appointments. I couldn't have asked for better results, and I'm glad I placed my trust in Dr Reath.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
