She billed and was subsequently paid $14,000 by my mother’s Medicare as operating surgeon, but she appears nowhere in my mother’s 2000 page medical record. We never met her nor authorized her to perform any surgery or procedures. We have no idea who she is. She refuses to return my calls. My mother was supposed to have an elective endoscope guided feeding tube insertion (hardly a vascular surgeon’s scope of practice). Things went horribly wrong and she nearly died losing 10 lbs after FT placement and developing an unstageable, full thickness bedsore. I have POA, but nobody will give us answers. I would NEVER recommend any of them.

Dr. Nelson is excellent. She took time to discuss my issue and options while making me feel very comfortable at the same time. I was very assured going in to my procedure and extremely confident in her abilities. It went beautifully!

Dr. Nelson has performed 5 angioplasties and a popliteal by-pass on my left leg within 1.5 years. The bypass is now about 6 months old and my leg is now hurting more than ever. I suspect another occlusion. She can't seem to get it right....time for a second opinion and hopefully lasting relief.
