Varicose veins disappeared after the treatment !!! Highly highly recommended ????????????

At my age and with the number of health issues I have experienced,I have been treated by an unbelievable number of Drs. Dr. Pliagas is the most caring and compassionate Dr. I have had for as a surgeon.I give him credit for saving my life.He is not only my doctor.He is my friend. I recommend him to any and all who may need a vascular surgeon.I pray and thank God for him everyday. Jack Easterday

I have been going to Dr. Pliagas for over 10 years with circulation problems in both my legs. Over the years he has helped me a great deal. Three years ago I had to have lazer surgery on several varicose veins in both legs. He was very through in explain what to expect, and after wards he personally called me to check up on me. Given that I am only allowed a short amount of space here, I can not explain how great of a doctor he is. I very highly recommend him for any vascular problems.

Spent a lot of time explaining diagnosis and treatment. Asked if I had any more questions. Very knowledgeable.

I just don't like him! He always seems like he's running a race and I feel like I'm on an assembly line! He needs to lay off the caffeine!

Many years ago, I had severe pain in my calf muscle. I had it ultrasounded for a blood clot and it was negative. I wrote it off and it gradually got better over many months but that leg always remained slightly "blue" and swollen. Eventually I went to Dr. Pliagas who someone had recommended to me, and he had it ultrasounded again. He called me around 7 pm on a Friday night to tell me I had 3 blood clots in it. I told him I was about to leave for a much-awaited week-long trip to the beach with my entire extended family. He told me I needed to be in the hospital. I told him I felt fine.. that the pain from the clots was gone long ago. He very kindly insisted I come meet him at the hospital immediately. We finally compromised and he admitted me for a weekend of complete bedrest and careful watching on blood thinners and then released me to go if I promised to take my blood thinners and check in with the local dr. there twice during the week and report to him. All worked out well. He had me tested me and found out I had a genetic clotting factor. I had recurrant clots in the same leg many years later which he also took very good care of. I have had only good experiences with this doctor.

He is a very caring Dr. he will not risk your life or health so he can do surg.

Dr. Pliagas wanted to clear blockage on my mother's left vascular artery. The surgery was performed and she was admitted to icu for the night. She was discharged the following day. One week later, she began having stroke like symptoms. Dr. Pliagas would not hear of anything "stroke like" going on with her. After several ER visits, he insisted that my mother was there for medication. She was treated with migranes and discharged. She couldn't complete sentences, was very confused, and begging for help. Several days after being admitted for "watching her medicine intake" she suffered a severe stroke. Dr. George Pliagas never checked on her again. Please AVOID this Dr. at all or any costs. She is 62 and now in a nursing home. She has been in rehab since the stroke we so strongly tried to prevent. The stroke was 3 months ago. Do NOT see Dr. Pliagas.
