I met Dr. Midis via referral from my general surgeon at the VA hospital in October 2021. He was very informative. He want to do the surgery then, but stupid me said no. But set another appointment with him in February of 2022 and agree to the surgery. Him and his staff was very understanding and caring. Had my colon surgery in May of 2022. Would I refer anyone to Fort Sanders? Yes I would in a heartbeat. Would refer anyone to Dr. Midis? Yes, I would in a heartbeat.

I was referred to Dr midas just after I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. At a time.when I thought my life would never be the same dr.midas had a plan and followed through. Very down to business but an angel in disguise.

Get a second opinion from a different colorectal surgeon to see if the surgery Dr Midis wants to perform is necessary. Another surgeon may well know of a much less invasive procedure. If the second opinion mirrors Dr Midis then go back to him for surgery. I highly recommend Vanderbilt. It’s more than worth the drive to Nashville.

Dr Midis is a Fine surgeon. I trust his ability and opinion more than any Surgeon. He earned this trust by performance. He also has a very caring and capable staff. They always made me feel at ease.

Dr. Midas operated on my sister. He stated that he 'wouldn't cut in to her pancreas unless he had to. After the surgery, he reported to us (when asked), that the pancreas looked great...after about a week and a half, she went up to rehab to recover where she developed C-Diff. They stopped the rehab and started treating that...then they moved her to another floor for they weren't equipped to handle that. Then her kidneys started to fail so they started dialysis. Then they moved her yet again so she could get all the care she was (by then needing)where she later just gave up and died. Oh. He went on 'vacation' some time after the C-Diff began. I tried to talk her into getting a second opinion, but he came so highly rated, that she just dismissed that. When she grew so tired of fighting, she said, (and I quote), I wish I had listened to you sis."

My experience with Dr Midis was GREAT! He treated me very professionally, and considerate. He knew exactly what to do, and did it without hesitation. He told me beforehand what he was doing and what to expect. It turned out like he said, each time. I would highly recommend him. He was NEVER rude, and by no means ever reckless. In fact it was the exact opposite with my experience. I will never hesitate to go to him, or ask his advice. Tom Lakey 4-14-2019

My Daddy has been receiving care from Dr. Midis for the past several weeks. I highly recommend him to anyone who may need a whipple surgery. He is highly competent, considerate and explains in great detail what to expect before, during and after surgery. He has a wonderful team and I feel blessed for Daddy to be in his care.
