I would highly recommend Dr. Jamal Maatouk as an oncologist. I received the best care one could have ever hoped for. She was very personable and demonstrated such grace and patience with all my questions and concerns. Dr. Maatouk was a calming presence who always made me feel comfortable, loved, and cared for. She was extremely knowledgeable and very thorough with my care. Dr. Maatouk and the chemotherapy nursing staff showed amazing compassion and a tireless dedication to their job. Their ability to lift your spirits, even on the toughest days, was much appreciated and comforting.

Highly Recommend I would highly recommend Dr. Jamal Maatouk as an oncologist. I received the best care for my breast cancer one could have ever hoped for. Dr. Maatouk was terrific. Knowledgeable, sensitive, informative… I immediately felt at ease – and felt confident my Dad is receiving expert medical care. The staff was great, too. I walked away, very impressed w. the overall experience. HIGHLY recommend.

Been her patient for years. Rarely ever see her, most appointments were conducted by a nurse or assistant. I complained with problems and warning signs for 2 years. No tests were ordered. Then family physician finds bone cancer on an exray.

Broken trust Trusted her to provide care to family member. Very disappointed. Reoccurence of cancer not discovered by Maatouk but by a family physician from an exray! By then it was advanced.

Dr. Maatouk refused to see my family member because of her pregnancy. Not only is this discrimination against a pregnant woman but it is also unethical. To refuse to see a patient solely because she is pregnant is a violation of rights. With my family member living in Kingsport... Dr. M refused to see her and suggested Knoxville as an alternative. I plan to look into the rights my family member has as a patient and determine if I have a case of discrimination. This has caused so much stress for the patient. I can't imagine what she's going through. Shame on you.

I left Devapiran Jaishankar, MD to see Jamal Maatouk, MD for breast cancer after another patient recommended her. She’s a much better doctor. One that really cares and is very thorough. I recommend Dr Maatouk, her nurse, and the entire staff.
