Free Valte parking but be sure an arrive at least 1/2-1hr before your scheduled appointment due to long check-in process. Employees are friendly but rushed.
My husband went for a test at Parkwest, and we never recieved a bill from them, only our doctor from a different facility. 30 days after the test we recieved a bill from a debt collector in the mail for the test. Absolutely ridiculous. We pay our bills and to have a bill go to debt collectipns when they didnt do their job and send one is just dumb. No wonder our healthcare system is in this shape.....its not insurance its greedy facilities like this one.

This is the WORST HOSPITAL in Tennessee - the nurse after 5 hours of waiting said that we were not a priority. All we were waiting for was for my wife to get an IV which she never got. If you are not dying don’t go - you will wait hours upon hours.
This is a Review on the Birth Center. Scheduled c-section, had an amazing experience. As a WOC, I was very nervous. The staff was incredible, our family had everything we needed and more. Advice for new families; Make sure Mom and Dad bring their own pillows. The ones provided are terrible.
I am shocked this hospital has the stars it has. I gave a very deserving 1 star rating and it is because of the lack of emergency of medical staff, who are extremely rude and unprofessional. Me, and my 88 year-old grandfather and 86 year-old grandmother waited in the emergency room on 12/12 for 7.5 hours before being seen. He has brain cancer, with history of heart problems and came here due to retaining fluid (which was a huge concern for his brain cancer and heart). We spoke to several different staff members at the front desk over the course of our day here, and every single one of them were dismissive and disrespectful. We watched a man get discharged, said they were good to go home and had no issues- while they were talking to him to the parking lot, he coded & had to be rushed back inside! I watched someone who was going to be charged for a CT scan that they did NOT have. The administrator said “it wouldn’t be there if you didn’t have it”… they are obviously trying to squeeze everything out of the sick to make an extra penny! There were six other families waiting, who had been waiting with us since we had arrived- who never received any help either. I watched a 97 year-old woman leave with her daughter after waiting for 11+ hours and was not seen once. She said “thanks for nothing!” and left. They went elsewhere. I called a supervisor line and spoke to someone who was full of excuses. Nurse staff, administrative staff, hospital staff will watch an elderly individual struggle to get into a wheelchair alone… and will NOT ASSIST! All in all, save your time and go to Tennova! Go to any other hospital or emergency room than this one. You will die here or become significantly worse at the expense of this POOR HOSPITAL STAFF WHO DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS!
I am extremely disappointed and angry with Park West Hospital. My 91 year old grandmother had to sit in the ER for 7 hours (Monday, Dec 12, 2022)and was never seen. No one cared that she was high risk and sitting in the ER being exposed to other illnesses! She has a rare lung disease which makes her more susceptible for other illnesses. Also, there were 3 other people that came in after my grandmother and there were SEEN BEFORE MY GRANDMOTHER!!! PLUS, they left while my grandmother was sitting, slouched over and barely able to move. Furthermore, all the ER employees we dealt with were RUDE and extremely unprofessional!! If they can’t have better attitudes toward a patient, they’re in the wrong profession!! There were 3 doctors working in the ER and there were only like 13-15 people there. If those doctors cannot see that many patients in 7 hours, then they don’t need to be a doctor. EXTREMELY SHAMEFUL!!! Anyway, I called to speak with the hospital administrator (12/13/22 @ 10:00AM) and left a message with a lady who answered the phone. She said the person was in meetings. She said she’d give them the message and they’d call me back! Well guess what?! I have yet to hear from the hospital administrator!!! This just shows how much they don’t care about the elderly! My poor little grandmother was never seen and made the comment that the reason why they didn’t see her, is because she’s elderly. How sad is that! PARK WEST, YOU ALL ARE PATHETIC! SHAME ON YOU ALL!! You know what they say about karma.
I had a Hernia surgery, to repair a hernia that was about as severe and bad as it could be. Dr Edwards was my surgeon, Park West was the hospital with supporting staff. I simply want to say that I could NOT BE HAPPIER with this surgery, in EVERY ASPECT OF THIS SURGERY. I've had several surgeries, at several hospitals, in different states including EMORY in Atlanta, GA. NOTHING IN MY LIFE COMPARES to PARK WEST, DR EDWARDS, THE HOSPITAL STAFF AT PARK WEST.
My daughter is 8 1/2 months pregnant with her first child and started cramping and having bad contractions so she went to parkwest. As soon as she got there the receptionist was rude and started yelling at her about not calling first. Since when do you need reservations to go to the er? Then once she finally got seen the nurse yelled at her to call first and a Dr will call back when they are not busy to tell her if she needs to come to er. Like how can they tell over a phone if someone needs to come or not. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. They are very rude to the patients. My daughter is young and doesn't know what labor feels like so she doesn't need to be yelled at for worrying about her child.
I took my sister, who has lung and bone cancer and is taking chemo, to the ER on 12/2/22. We arrived about 2:08 p.m. She was vomiting and had severe abdominal pain. About 1/2 hour after arrival she was triaged, a iv started, and later taken to X-ray. The X-ray tech had to disconnect her iv before he transported her because it had run out and no one had come to check on it. She returned from X-ray and remained in the lobby that was full of patients until 2:45 a.m. on Saturday morning, 12/3/22. Every time I had to ask for a new barf bag (she went through 4) I inquired about when she would be seen. We had watched people who checked in way after her be called back to be seen yet she remained in the lobby. The young ladies who worked the check-in desk on those two shifts were rude. Once she was put in an exam room the ER Dr. saw her for about 5 minutes to tell her what the X-rays showed and that he was going to do a surgery consult. That was the last time she saw him, and only saw a nurse close to shift change at 7 a.m. who brought in some supplies for the placement of a stomach tube but said she was getting ready to be off. Thank God for the nurse who came on duty at 7 a.m. She was caring and compassionate and did all she could to make my sister comfortable. My sister was finally admitted to a room at 3:30 p.m. 25 1/2 hours in the ER - beyond ridiculous! Once she was placed in a room the nurses and staff were wonderful, especially some travel nurses who were assigned to care for her.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
