I had my 1st appt with Dr. Cook 20 yrs ago.He Knows what he is doing treating and Knowing Your mental issues. From my 1st Vist. My 8yr old son came home with a DVD for us to watch on ADHD. The teacher was concerned my son had it. I had never heard of ADHD?After watching the DVD. I looked at my husband at the time and said "That's Me"! Not only Did Dr. Cook know in 1 visit throughly I had it all my life. He is gifted with understanding very clearly the issue. It started with my 8yr old to me. Then to my other 4 children. He also saw my older son who was in college at the time. Of course his GPA was still a 2.5 as all through High Scool. He struggled all through school. And kept getting poor grades. He was studying to be a teacher with a 2.5 GPA.? After flying to TN. To have Dr. Cook check him for ADHD. Thanks to Dr. Cooks diagnose of Jim. The following year he started college at the Chicago Arts Institute. Graduated with a 3.9 GPA. That's what a professional Dr. Like Dr. Cook is all about
I (Bruce) was dropped by Robert C. Jamieson in Nashville after 25 years of being his patient. By that time he had me taking 3 different meds in dosages higher than recommended; the drugs made me angry and he dropped me because I was angry. I started seeing Dr. Cook and within 6 months, I was off all the extra medications and lost 80 pounds because I had more energy and didn't feel angry. I have my life back thanks to Dr. Cook. THE BEST PSYCHIATRIST IN TENNESSEE!
Dropped my grandmother out of his practice years ago because a relative who disliked my grandmother and wanted to hurt her. So she lied to doctor cook, and he believed her. She had been his patient for over 25-30 years and she really loved him. It's just hurtful for her.
He is an excellent physician! I have been a patient of Dr. Cook's for many years due to Bipolar. He helps me manage and stay mentally healthy. I highly recommend his services. He's the best doctor I've ever had.
Dr. Cook is a wonderful doctor. I have see him over a considerable amount of years. After suffering with anxiety attacks and depression since I was 21, Dr Cook is the only dr. who has helped me. I lead a very normal life, thanks to him. Dr. Cook is a very caring dr. when our 9 year old son died from Coli, dr Cook was the only dr. that called to see if I was okay. He is always on time. He cares about the whole person and anything he can do to help. DR. COOK IS A WONDERFUL DOCTOR. He makes me feel I am his friend.
Dr Cook is the absolute best. I can't imagine not having him in my corner. He is knowledgeable, kind and very caring. Highly recommend.
Dr. Cook is an incredibly caring and compassionate Doctor and human being. I have seen him for 26 years, and I have not only my life but quality of life because of him. He cares intensely about his patients and has worked with and for me in every way possible. I have over the years developed several serious and chronic physical illnesses in addition to my mental health issues. He is uniquely attuned to these problems that intensify mental struggles, and has assisted me in finding doctors to help me with the physical so that the mental can be more effectively treated. He listens, answers any question, is willing to work with medication side effects and other problems, no matter how difficult and in my case mysterious. I would be dead or having a horrible life had I not found him when I did. I am grateful every day for him. Many doctors have no clue about some of my strange medical problems and can not help me or are unwilling to try, but he has never given up on me and here I am, having a life and a good marriage and on the medications that help me without also hurting me. While still working on finding the right medications for my situation I also had a round of TMS, which brought me out of a very dark and frightening place. So to Dr. Cook and his excellent staff I say thank you, and I wish there were words to express my gratitude which is immeasurable.
Dr. Cook is my outstanding remembrance of my stay at Cornerstone Recovery. A shining star. The light side of the moon. Keep on, my friend. Vivian Leese
I have been a client for many years!! I suffered with Depression that I thought I could control until I was referred to Dr. Cook, thank God. After seeing Dr. Cook and he worked with me by education, explaination of the many symptoms of depression, most of what I was experiencing and in denial of the facts regarding depression and Social Stigmas, I GOT OVER IT! I began to trust in this remarkable Dr.s, Intelligence, research, and true compassion for those who suffer from Depression, I began to believe and know that Depression is a disease. Dr. Cook and his wonderful staff, Terry, Belinda, Kate, Tessa and Judy are caring, kind, accommodating, and most of all they all have respect for those with the crippling disease of Depression. I am an advocate for more healthcare spent on Mental Disorders such as Depression. Listen up all you Nurses, PA’s and Physcians, please don’t ever tell a patient or client or even say the word “Phych” drugs, because I put my pants on just like you do!! Dr. Cook recognized the short lived effects that antidepressants helped me. Then would have to try a new one, time after time. I have had medication resistance to antidepressants. Dr. Cool saw I was suffering and he had become a leading Expert in the use of TMS, Magnetic stimulation has saved my life and I will forever be grateful to Dr. Cook’s expertise and his staff for treating the DISEASE OF DEPRESSION
Altho Dr. Cook is a very nice person, I did not receive ANY relief from his TMS. And 10,000$ is stupid. But I was desperate. I think its bordering on quackery. Sorry

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
