Great Doctor as well as entire staff. Taylor Tapscott as well as Dr. Yaus nurses are awesome. I had a great experience from the time I arrived on surgery morning until I was released for full activity.

I am forever grateful for Dr. Yau and his entire team! From his physician assistants to medical staff… they were all very knowledgeable and supportive through the process of getting two hip replacements this year. I am so thankful for the team, too, at Prompt Physical Therapy. My PT, Sloan, has assisted my healing process so well post operatively. Looking forward to an active 2023!

Dr Yau performed a hip replacement on my right hip one year ago. For several years I had put up with discomfort, and eventually constant pain, when walking and exercising. Chiropractic care helped at first but later X-rays showed bone on bone contact in the hip. It was the Chiropractor that recommended seeing about a hip replacement. After seeing Dr Yau he recommended surgery as a way to repair the damage. The surgery went incredibly well. Recovery time was minimal and I was back to work and back doing Crossfit in just a little over a month with only minimal limitations. 3 months later I was working out with no limitations. Dr Yau's skill as a surgeon and the excellent physical therapy from everyone at Elevation Sports in Middlesboro made that possible. I would highly recommend Dr Yau and his entire team.

Dr. Yau did my hip surgery last year after giving me the option of cortisone injections beforehand. Respected him immensely for not insisting on surgery, which gave me the time to adjust to the inevitable. The surgery went great and my hip was 100% better. The support from his staff, setting up my appointments walking me through the entire process and follow-up was phenomenal. This week I met with Dr. Yau regarding a painful knee problem to go over the MRI he ordered, again he offered me another option of a different injection (cortisone did not work). After an indepth explanation of how this injection works, I chose this option. I know I will eventually have to have knee surgery due to my age and arthritis doing it's "thing" and when that happens, six months or a year from now Dr. Yau will be doing the surgery. He's personable, takes all the time you need to answer your questions, and those you don't know to ask. If I could give him 10 stars, I would.

Dr Yau is a fantastic Dr/Surgeon. Exceptional bed side manners! Very personable.

This was my first meeting with Dr. Yau and I was totally impressed. He is very congenial and has a good sense of humor. I felt at ease right away. He is very knowledgeable and was completely honest with me about the pros and cons and expectations of dealing with my hip issue. Also he offered me options besides just surgery. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for an Orthopedic Specialist. His staff was extremely helpful, gave me good contact information if I have questions and his PA is equally as nice and helpful and very caring. Dr. Yau was recommended to me by several people and I thank them for the referral.

I am very pleased with Dr. Yau and all his staff. They are very professional and easy to talk to. I've had a lot of different surgeries in the past, but he is the best.

Dr. Yau is excellent. Easy to talk to, does excellent surgery. He did my hip replacement and all has gone well. I highly recommend him.

Dr Yau and his staff are professional, compassionate, and listened to my concerns. They treated me with respect and dignity and answered all my questions without judgment or being put off by answering what is most likely the same questions they answer day in and day out. I appreciate them all.
