Phillip Mitchell's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Mitchell performed my gallbladder surgery in 2020. He was very friendly, very professional, and all the staff at South Health Campus hospital in Calgary were amazing. I felt very taken care of and safe. I believe Dr. Mitchell will be performing my bariatric/hiatal hernia surgery as well. I am looking forward to working with him once again to better my health.

I can't praise Dr. Mitchell more. He was so wonderful, professional, and thorough. He made me feel comfortable, safe, and his single priority (even through I knew how crazy busy he was). I would give 10 stars if I could.

Dr Phillips gave me myLife back in 1997. I left gir Mi with my wife snd returned recently. I was in dire straights sbd went back yo my trusted doctor. Not counting the fact they got me in y tc o see f sad o B robe r er kee, sane day lije they advertise.....walk I d welcome...it was a dock yo see tgrm selling a Barilla pasta ( at j K East it's the best)......I'm in bad psin and not counting arriving early, I had to sit in psin iver sn hour before getting taken back where I C was slightly more comfy. I didn't get my needed prescriptions re filled evrn with copious evidence but my regular daily neds.....instead I got a pitch gir stem cells ($3,000+), kneeing I had yo borrow the $409 to osy thrm $300 snd transport bus stop Uber. Luckily their credit card reader was down so they wrote people credit card fien ) illegal- found out you'd at ehrn I got a refund finally from Pizza Hut), sbd thrn I get a call my card doesn't work..... it's a super platinum card back up by my cash and mudic catalog. I used it sll day abd it either give. I offered when I was there to pay cash or check but she said cards were easiest. Since all I got gir sll the psin was 2 referrals, obe which I said Abdul truly no yoo because if vet bad experience, I left in agony and spent the night in the hospital. Oh, the girl said if I don't give them another card it'll go yo collection. Big deal,309 bucks? I gave nothing to Kuss and they illegally wrote the card number fien. I have grounds yo due thrm as I picked a couple of jaw degrees back East so I'm happy to fight my doctor eho couldn't say hi, sbd left me in agony.Worse, he couldn't/ woukd take 1 minute to shake my hand snd ket me THSNK him. Niw, I'll never refer him or his quack anti-aging /pasta selling clinic yo snyobe. Noe I see why, when my ex-doctor wife sbd I first became patients he coukd only take cash as his former practice got him censured from accepting insurance.In short, he expanded out of greed, so much do, he's selling pasta? You either get that a goid grocery store or an Italian deli.....pkys his stem cell crap sbd other mobry grabs.....HE IS JUST SNOTHER GREEDY FOCYIR, eith a staff that runs hit n cokd.Avoid st sll costs!!!!! Awesome bedside manner. Compassionate and understanding. Takes the time to explain procedure clearly and fully.

Dr.Mitchell is approachable, honest, personable and very knowledgeable. He is down to earth, and listens to what is wrong with you, and does everything in his power to heal you. Receptionist is the most soft spoken, friendly , caring and very efficient. I highly recommend him. Donna

I had 2 hernia surgeries dome by MNitchell. The first obviously did not turn out well, as the x-rays showed. A pouch had busted in stomach. So he repairs the botched nissen fundoplication, I went home, thinking all was well. 2 weeks after surgery I started getting diaheria very bad. I still have unsettling experiences. I also found this DR. arrogant, condescending! He doesn't liek answering questions!

Dr. Mitchell is a great. Honest, upfront, wonderful bed side manner and knowledgeable.

Dr. Mitchell is incredible. He took on my case when none of the other surgeons in the Bariatric Clinic would. He is kind, patient, and encouraging. There are so many other surgeons out there who just want to "cut" and get it over with. Dr. Mitchell is not one of them. He truly cares about each and every one of his patients. Fatima, his assistant is very kind also. She takes the time to work with each and every patient while dealing with a huge workload. I am very grateful for Dr. Mitchell and Fatima.

Lovely SCAR from 2 attempted stitches and open insision. I went to Dr. Mitchell's office to have a possible skin cancer growth removed. The doctor removed a small pinky finger-sized growth and received 6 stitches. After returning home the stitches split wide open. I called the Doctor to be seen and was told I had to wait 2 days to get a return appointmentReturned to the Dr's office and had replacement stitches to close the incision in my thigh.Later that day the stitches again busted open again. Called the Dr's office again and had to have a Video appointment. The Dr. Perscribed heavy Antibiotics for 10 days and use a large bandaid to cover the incision. I now have a quarter-sized purple scar! I Will not be going back! :-(

Honestly the best surgeon I've had and ever met with. Super helpful, knowledgeable, kind and funny. If I could afford it I would hire him to be my family's personal surgeon. I trust him with my life! He performed bariatric surgery on me 2 years ago. I had zero issues afterwards and he did multiple follow ups with me afterwards to make sure everything was good.
