Richard Welch's Online Review Report Card

🗣🗣🗣DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR. I went in to get my IUD removed and this is how it went. He told me to lay back and didnt give any explanation as to what was about to happen. No: relax your going to feel something cold, you are going to feel pressure, this might hurt a little. NOTHING. HE WATCHED squirm and gravel in pain and never once stopped. Never asked if k was ok, NOTHING. when he was done he got up and was half way out of thr door before he turned back around and asked “Do you have any questions.” ? At that point i just wanted him to Leave the room. Ill never see him again.

Dr. Welch is the ABSOLUTE WORST!!! I am appalled by the fact that he is permitted to practice. I had to go in for an emergency visit. Dr. Welch was the only physician available. This was a TERRIBLE decision!!! He just RUTHLESS and speaks in a very condescending tone. Needless to say, I refused treatment/examination of any sort! Instead, I went to the Emergency Room. I wish I had read the reviews prior to accepting the appointment. The reviews are TRUE!!!! BEWARE!!

Horrible made me feel terrible I even came to see him I've been having lots of abdominal pain associated with my periods and was in the ER due to the pain (have never taken medicine or ever have been sick ) the pain was unbearable I was told to see me obgyn I could only see dr. Welch. Well it was horrible experience made me feel worse leaving still having no answers he was not conpassionate caring NO bedside manner at all. Do not go to him.

Rude, Rushed and completely incapable of listening.

I had read the reviews and did not plan on seeing Dr. Welch, but had no other option as he was the only one available to see me during my miscarriage. He was Terrible. He spent less than 5 minutes with me. He barely gave me any internal exam, commented "that's a lot of blood", said that he didn't see anything, "How did I know I was pregnant?", sent me home without any recommendations for pain management and told me only to come back to give blood (monitor dropping HCG levels). I left devastated, and later miscarried at home with a lot of pain. When I returned to give blood I had a breakdown. Was immediately seen by a different doctor who gave a thorough examination, explained everything as best she could. Before I left one of the nurses chased me down to let me know that should I come back I could request never to be seen by Dr. Welch.

I came to see Dr. Welch for treatment of an ongoing condition. I found the office to be friendly and efficient. Dr. Welch was personable and took the time to fully explain my test results and treatment options. We chose a surgical treatment, which I was able to get scheduled very quickly, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I will continue to see Dr. Welch in the future for all of my OB/GYN care.

Dr. Welch was unfortunately my dr for my 2nd prenatal appt. He have me 45 seconds of his time and ran out. I had so many questions and needed information in order to continue school while pregnant. I completely forgot to ask him because he rushed me out. I drive 45 min to see him for 1 minute. I am very happy that he will no longer be practicing OB because I would leave the practice strictly because of him.

Dr. Welch, now that you showed everybody that you only care for the money, please leave the practice before is too late. I did had a terrible experience with him.

Dr. Welch absolutely ruined my entire birthing experience with my daughter. I love all of the other doctors and mid-wives at Annapolis OB-GYN, by Dr. Welch is by far the worst. He is a sexist and does not listen to his patients. I was screaming in pain and he didn't believe me. Not one of the nurses at AAMC like him.

I have used Dr. Welch and Dr. Bingham at Annapolis OBGYN almost exclusively for my twin pregnancy and look forward to having Dr. Welch deliver them via C-section later this week. He is quick witted and a bit sarcastic but it suits my sense of humor. I should mention, however, that my pregnancy has been complication-free, so my visits are typically brief and to the point.
