Setting up an appointment took repeated messages and emails for several months. When she finally contacted me back and I was able to schedule an appointment, she had me convinced my physical issues were from the stress and pressure from my mom who she said was narcissistic and toxic. After cutting my mom out of my life for a year, I discovered my physical issues were from an autoimmune disorder. Once treated, my body normalized. She never invited my mom to a session, nor did she speak to her. My mom and I are working on rebuilding our relationship after the estrangement Shana fostered. A therapist should build families up, make them stronger, not break them apart.

I was looking for a Dr. Who could help me with some difficult issues. Dr. Hamilton- Lockwood is so knowledgeable in sexual issues. She is extremely caring and understanding. A psychologist like Dr. Hamilton-Lockwood is rare to find!

I was looking for a therapist that was open and diverse. Dr. Hamilton-Lockwood was so up to date on her knowledge of transgender and all GLBT issues. She is also great for relationships. I would totally recommend her to anyone looking at having great sessions with this psychologist!
