List of Sharon Burnside's Reviews
Dr. Burnside changed my life honestly. She and all the nurses and staff doing ECT have made a positive impact on my mental health and are some of the most genuine and caring healthcare professionals I’ve had the pleasure to meet.
Excellent group of medical professionals. Highly recommended!
Dr. Burnside is an empathetic and skilled provider. I cannot stress how appreciative that I am that she is a part of my mental healthcare team. She is very frank, knowledgeable, and excels in the field of psychiatry. My mental health journey has been a struggle, and it has been very difficult and knowing that she is on board as a member of my care team brings me a sense of comfort and relief. She effectively and efficiently manages her appointments and respects her patience time so the wait time is non existent or extremely little at the very worst. If I could provide 10 stars, I would.
The first thing I want to say is that Melissa, NP, is always kind and helpful. The second thing is that when I have spoken on the phone with the office staff, they frequently seem annoyed, impatient, & rude. Trying to resolve an issue with my medication over the last 2 days left me feeling frustrated and wanting to find service elsewhere, simply because of the phone correspondence. The third thing I want to mention is an issue I had surrounding a Telehealth appointment several months ago. Before my appointment, I discovered my Comcast account no longer would accept incoming mail, and I was not able to access the link. The office staff and manager did not help the frustration I was feeling. They only displayed an attitude of aggravation. By the time I was finally able to speak to Melissa, NP, I was in tears. I share this after reading several other reviews which voice similar experiences. Those you serve deserve kindness.
100% Recommend Very knowledgeable, caring provider. I have been seeing her for years, have never had an issue with the office staff very pleasant and personable. You do have to leave voicemails sometimes, but that is at any providers office.
Excellent psychiatrist! She really knows the field of psychiatry! Accurate diagnosing and spot on prescriber.
Seen Dr. Burnside for many years. Office girls have never been nice. Like they were doing you a favor by being there. They don’t call you back for an appointment and then just drop you when you try to figure out what happened. Dr. Burnside probably knows nothing of this because she’s a caring provider. The office staff 0/10. Go somewhere else that actually cares about your wellbeing.
Preface, I thoroughly enjoy seeing Dr. Burnside, she is the most personable psychiatrist I have seen. I’d like to start by saying that I have never left a google review before, and I am choosing to leave one now because I feel so strongly. My disappointment in this office lies with reception. I have repeatedly felt cut-off and misunderstood by the woman that answers phones. She always jumps to conclusions and is exceptionally rude. She does not allow space for dialogue or explanation, she simply butts in and makes assumptions. I even mentioned it to the doctor several months ago, but nothing has changed. From the looks of the other 1 start reviews, the receptionist seems to be a common denominator in the low rating. Earlier today I had called to ask for an antidepressant to be sent in while I wait to be seen for my next appointment, and the receptionist abruptly stated that the doctor wont send in Adderall (a controlled substance for adhd). I had to repeat that I just need medication to help with depression and that I was not seeking a controlled substance. It felt so presumptuous that she would interject that statement— like she was making me out to be a drug-seeker. She has been rude, short, and hateful every time I call the office. It’s made me decide that I want to find another doctor so that I don’t have to face the judgement I feel every time I call to make an appointment. Why does this woman still work here? Who is she related to?
This is based on my own experience with whoever answered the phone, it’s not towards the doctors since I didn’t even get that far. I had called to see if they were accepting new patients, they had asked what insurance I had, when I told them, the person said “we do not” and hung up. Regardless if they accepted my insurance or not, they should’ve given me a chance to at least make an appointment and pay out of pocket expenses. I didn’t even get that option.
Lifesaver! I love her!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
