List of Tennessee Valley Recovery Center - Knoxville Alcohol & Drug Rehab's Reviews
The staff was very helpful. They all made me feel at home. I would definitely recommend TVR to anyone i care about!!
The establishment is racist and allow people to use slurs around the facility. I was bullied here for two weeks and reported to the clinical director multiple times that it was going on and the situation was never handled. My things were stolen such as money and valuables. While I was dealing with this I took time to cope by going on walks because we are kept in a small house with only one tv to keep us entertained. I went on one walk later in the evening and got back five minutes past curfew and was put on a behavioral contract. Then on Monday the following week I was told I had to find somewhere else to go because I am being kicked out. I am from Georgia dealing with legal issues and it took a lot of effort to get into this facility and now I have to figure out on my own where I am going to go. Not to mention the groups here are not helpful and I was only here two weeks and all we did was play jeopardy and check in with our emotions. The staff clearly would rather be anywhere else but here. There is not enough money for the food budget either because the whole house has to share food with each other even if you struggle with an eating disorder like myself. And just know if you come here on PHP you are not going to see the light of day very often because the only place you can go is clinical and back to the tiny secluded house stuffed with 7-8 other people. I do not suggest going to this facility especially if you are a person of color. It is also disgusting and not clean here either because nobody here cleans!! (to all my germaphobes) All the staff is as white as it gets and will put their people first every time. Stay safe babes and look somewhere else!!
Jarret has been a pleasure to deal with. The treatment facility is great, very clean and comfortable. The staff is organized and knowledgeable. If you need help or are suffering from mental health or addiction, this is the place you and your family need to go!
Jarret made this process so easy for our loved one and the staff went above and beyond to communicate with us every step of the way! TVR made this all possible!
By far one of the BEST treatment center facilities for mental health and substance abuse. The staff is extremely professional, very clean and the environment is welcoming. The group facilitators are great. I highly recommend this facility for anyone that is struggling with mental health or addiction to drugs and alcohol. They will give you your life back. You will not be disappointed!!!! Five stars!!!!
I was the "too far gone" case. I had done multiple rehabs and detoxes and I never seemed to get it. In June of 2023 I was detoxing in a behavioral health facility and was at the end of my rope. I called my mother and told her I just couldn't stay in Mississippi and do another rehab. So she did some searching for me and found Tennessee Valley Recovery in Knoxville, TN. That same day I spoke to Wesley on the phone. He was super kind and understanding and welcoming and I knew that Tennessee Valley Recovery was exactly where I needed to be. I got on a plane and got to Knoxville at 2am and Jordan was waiting on me in the airport. Never once did I feel scared or unwelcomed or judged. In fact, I felt more understood than I had in a long time. Most everybody who works at TVR is in recovery theirselves. So they're able to relate with you and understand and not judge. They have very nice housing if you need somewhere to stay. They provide your groceries every week. They give you a safe, comfortable environment for you to get back on your feet at. I have done both programs they offer. I completed 3 months of substance abuse and 2 months of mental health. The therapists and clinical directors are amazing. I felt like I could talk to Amanda and Andy about every and anything. They were able to help me get through my biggest roadblocks and teach me how to cope with my trauma from being sex trafficked and abused. They gave me the will and desire to get where I am today. They helped me get a job, health insurance and into an amazing sober living. Coming to Tennessee Valley Recovery saved my life. And it can save yours, too, if you're willing. I guarantee it. They're more than a rehab, they're family.
In a time where my world was upended and there were no answers..I found TVR and they were so compassionate, professional and understanding. They had the answers I was seeking and I can say today that I'm proud of where I'm at and I wouldn't be here without them.
Weslee has been wonderful to work with and we are happy to have Tennessee Valley Recovery as a quality resource in the area!
I personally went through this program and I can say I had a very good experience. Counselors and therapists are top-notch, housing is a good option if you want the full experience. Quality of treatment exceeds expectations and 10/10 performance for meeting needs.
I have seen this place change people's lives.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
