William Hogan's Online Review Report Card

Dr Hogan is a fabulous doctor!! I am absolutely baffled that he could get a bad review. He has helped me in so many ways. He is very educated. He’s been in this field for over 20 years. He is very wise and his experience shows. Even when I was skeptical about taking a certain medication, I listened to him and kept taking it, and it ended up changing my life. He’s a great doctor!! One of the best I’ve ever been to. He listens, asks questions, and truly cares. He addresses any and all my concerns. I honestly cannot see why/how anyone would leave him a bad review. When COVID hit, he adapted and made sure his patients were still taken care of. As long as he’s in practice, I will be his patient. Also, Terri, his receptionist, is a delight to deal with. She’s always friendly and a pleasure to talk to. She will make sure everything is taking care of. Ruthy, his previous receptionist, was a delight too.

Dr. Hogan is great! He is really good at sharing his understanding of medicine to build the best plan for me. Also, Terri is great at aiding me through the technical portion of these visits. I really appreciate her quick responses and understanding of my circumstances. I would recommend them.

My experience with Dr. Hogan has been life changing. He and Terri both have gone above and beyond to make sure that i am able to be my best self and gone the extra mile during a difficult time to help me cope. I read a negative review here and i can only assume there was a personality conflict in that situation. Dr Hogan has a serious tone and can sound matter of fact because he is invested when he speaks with you. His patients concerns and struggles are important to him. I was offered an answer to my issues quickly. i took the medication prescribed and he was right on point. I am the best that i have been in years. I’ve also referred him to others who have had a wonderful experience as well.

I am no longer living in the area, but I have to share my experience from over a decade ago. Dr. Hogan was dismissive, degrading, and downright rude. He diagnosed me (rather quickly) as bipolar and despite my plunging into a severe depression after his taking me off SSRIs, he was horrific to me. Asked me if I was questioning his “expertise” when I said I had bought a book to learn more about the disorder. After two months of misery I told him how deeply depressed I was and that I might need another ssri rx. He said rudely, “I refuse.” He was awful. I have had plenty of experiences with therapy over the years and most of them have been positive. My experience with this man was a nightmare.

How do you preform therapy over email? This guy does apparently. I raised issue with this, and the secretary canceled my appointment due to my "attitude". I then showed her what an attitude really was. I'm glad for the interaction though, the guy probably just pushes pills anyway. He has mediocre reviews, and the positive ones look staff written, so you be the judge.

Dr Hogan , Is the first and only dr that really listened how I felt and what I was going through.He made me feel comfortable to talk to him . anytime I needed him he was available to talk to me and help me through what I was dealing with ...also the Receptionist was very nice and friendly.

Dr. Hogan truly listens and develops a personalized treatment plan for each individual. Not only that, he follows up to make sure the treatment is effective and adjusts accordingly until he finds a combination that works for you. I recommend him to anyone struggling with managing mental illness!

Left a message a week ago, still no response. Sounds like a real professional.

Knowledgeable and clear about treatment plan. Understands patients level of function and knowledge and treats them accordingly. Respectful and kind. Easy to schedule follow ups in office.
