List of Jim Scott's Reviews
Dr. Scott is a dishonest person and shouldn’t be trusted. He will lie his way through things to make a big buck with icbc.
Avoid this guy . I went to him because i have two brain aneurysms that are hereditary and i suffer from high blood pressure ( medication can be hit and miss for the high blood pressure) . My Mom Has 2 . My sister has 1 , cousins have died from them . My Grandfather died from them . In all cases they suffered headaches and surges the same as i am at present. He disregarded the family history of the aneurysms( he knew i had 2 of them) and told me that i was having migraines and placed me on amitriptyline . That drug caused me nothing but more problems to deal with . He also said he could put me on Botox to ease the so diagnosed migraines, something that can have long term side effect so i have read if used frequently . I accidentally came across an individual that had a brain aneurysm and suffered the same symptoms as myself and my family . This too he chose to ignore . The link below supports the fact that the headaches are caused by the Aneurysms , If i can find it very easily from reputable medical sources , how can he as a neurologist disregard facts and just push pills . I just want to stay alive . Not sure what his goal is . Oh by the way CBD oil did alleviate some of the pain ( found that out on my own ) . Because loud noises also affected the head pain ear plugs also assisted ( I hope my comments help someone ) https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/16800-brain-aneurysm
Went to see him with chronic nerve pain, but did not help at all. Every doctor I've seen said its a neuro issue but he just brushed it off, bent my wrist back causing pain and lasting injury for weeks and said "if it was neuro I wouldn't have been able to do that".
Dr, Scott was terrific for my carpal tunnel problems
Dr. SCOTT has been my go to neurologist for 20 years, never had a problem in all that time.
I am beyond happy with the experience we've had with Dr. Scott and his nurse Stacey. They explained things to my family member with MS so well. They allowed me to call in to the appointment and be on the line on speaker phone, since the appointment was made last minute and I could not fly in from Toronto in time to join them at this first appointment. The treatment plan was explained well, and he took lots of time with us. I'm blown away at the level of care we received. The neuro exam was thorough and everything was fully explained that was found. He was frank about what treatment he thought would be best, explained the side effects, but ultimately let the patient decide what course to choose. If you're so lucky to be paired with Dr. Scott, be thankful. He's knowledgeable, funny, and easy to talk to. Excellent bedside manner. Stacey, his nurse, went above and beyond, staying late to ensure she got lab results so this patient could start treatment on Saturday rather than waiting for Monday to start. I'm so happy my family member was referred to Dr. Scott and I feel like 1000 lbs has been lifted from my chest now because I know they are in good hands here.
USELESS I have been diagnosed with MS for over 25 years but this Dr treats me as if it is nothing. Most cursory exam I have ever had. Did not even read latest MRI report but he counted far fewer lesions on his own saying it is not bad. One lesion in the wrong place is enough to cause problems!
Awful experience, leaves you in the dark and pushes medication on you, about all he's good for. Didn't send information to my GP for weeks, including information of my vision. No bedside manner, avoid at all costs!
Very pleasant and easy to talk to. I am always comfortable with the care provided by Dr. Scott and the staff at the Victoria MS Clinic.
Shocked that he doesn't call patients at all. He's also the sort to judge and doesn't know much about epilepsy. The only positive thing I can say is that he'll write a prescription for almost any drug

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
