John Kane's Online Review Report Card

Absolutely horrendous person. Essentially told me I was lying about my inability to wear a mask. I’ve been a patient with that clinic longer than every single one of the providers including Kane. I have never had any kind of issues or complaints. Since the pandemic began and Vanderbilt began requiring masks I’ve been seen in this clinic 3 times with no issues. The first time the provider saw I was starting to hyperventilate and told me to just hold the mask away from my face. The second time I held the mask away from my face in the waiting room but took it off after being brought back. The third time I didn’t even have a mask on. THIS time it was a problem though. Dr. Kane denied me medical care for what he called “a sore shoulder.” What he doesn’t know because he never spoke to me is that I’m unable to even hold a gallon of milk I need assistance getting dressed I wake up every hour or so because of the pain and it’s been going on for two months. It’s more than just a “sore shoulder.” I don’t go to the doctor until pain is almost unbearable until then I tough it out. If I were ABLE to wear a mask why would I not just put one on to make life easier? If I could wear a mask why wouldn’t I have gone snorkeling in Hawaii with the rest of my family? Sitting on the beach wasn’t very exciting. If I could wear a mask why didn’t I become a blue angel as was my life dream? If I was the “only one” who couldn’t wear a mask as Kane claims why is the internet full of stories including professional stories of people unable to wear them? He’s just a horrible person.

The Doctor is great. Problem is trying to contact his office . Recorder with old message on it. Slow to respond back.

After moving to TN finding a doctor was very important. Dr. Kane has been the best doctor I’ve had. He is very thorough and explains things well. Doesn’t over medicate. I believe ‘‘tis is important. He has called me at home just to check on me. I have full confidence in him and his caring staff.

Went to Dr. Kane to see if he could help me with a condition called Primary Lymphedema which is hard to treat. People with this gain a lot of weight from lymphatic fluid not fat. It cant be dieted away cant be exercised away theres no cure. He was rude disrespectful uncompassionate just downright mean. He blamed me for my Lymphedema saying if Id lose weight my Lymphedema will go away. If he knew about Lymphedema hed know thats not true. He asked me if I had ever watched the show My 600 pound life said most everything thats wrong with me is my fault because Im fat I was 115 pounds until I got sick. He even cursed at me when I told him that my symptoms started with my first pregnancy saying that dont mean st . By the time he left the room Im crying we left. My mom boyfriend were with me. Ive never been so insulted embarrassed by a doctor. Im not saying that I dont need to lose weight but the condition I have had greatly contributed to my weight along with the list of my other ailments. Im not stupid This condition is life changing to the worse I am trying to find a doctor who knows more about it than I do. In constant pain anxiety depression having a doctor treat me like this harms instead of help.

That a great Doctor I moved to TN from California and had to find another doctor My first experience with him was great His staff and nurse was amazing and very friendly. Dr. Kane was very attentive I did not feel rushed at all and he showed concern with any issue I had. I am very lucky to have Dr Kane as my primary Doctor.

This dr treated me for several years therefore knowing my history of illness. First visit this year I explained my insurance was only 3 visits per year. He gave me the more weaker antibiotic therefore not healing pneumonia. When I called back to say I need stronger antibiotic his response is I can go to any walk in clinic or come back to him. Indicating he could care less. Bottom line is if he had of treated me the same as before with a thorough and more intense treatment I wouldn’t still be sick 19 days later. All about getting the money for Co pay not healing the patient.

Hes a great doctor

Dr. Kane cares for me as a patient. I am grateful to have him as my primary care doctor.

He has been my doctor for about a year now and he listens to all of my health concerns.
