List of MIchael Watterson's Reviews
I went to Dr Watterson after moving to TN and needing a new Rheumatologist as I have had a dx of inflammatory arthritis for several years. He was very arrogant and refused to listen to me or my husband regarding my history. He refused to answer us when we asked if he had looked at my records that were sent, he had his mind made up about my diagnosis with just an x ray. He didn't even do any blood work. As a retired nurse this is not how you treat patients, you need to listen to them and look at records and do tests before changing a diagnosis.
The office staff is awesome they listen, they care and are very helpful. This office provides on-site testing and bloodwork. A huge plus for anyone wanting results today. Doctor Watterson is very concerned and caring he wants to get to the root of the problem. He has a ton of energy, but listens very carefully to medical issues. He asks direct, and important questions when trying to diagnosis the patient.I was a nurse for 14 yrs. This office staff and Doctor want to help you.
He looked at blood work from 2 yrs ago, and only did an x-ray to determine what he thinks I have. He spent very little time with me, and didn't say much. After 3 visits he sent told me that my pcp could take over and monitor me, and that I didn't have to see him again. I got the feeling that he didn't care much and that my "diagnosis" was rushed. Also none of my symptoms fit what he claims I have.

Dr. Watterson has been wonderful with me and in diagnosing my condition. When I went to my first visit, I could barely get out of bed. Now, my RA is under control, I work everyday, and I do not have to take anything for pain on a regular basis! What a difference Dr. Watterson has made for my quality of life.
I didn't receive any treatment , left his office with BP190/90 said I had old fashion arthritis. Covered with itching hives. went immediately to closest ER spent 3 hours with IV to treat BP that was 210/90 If you are over 75yrs old avoid him!!!!
He is a fantastic doctor. I have very complex health issues and he does everything he can to help me. If you want someone that loves being a doctor then will help you any way they can and I suggest you go to Dr. Watterson.
Dr. Watterson is the first rheumatologist to find a method of treatment that works for my autoimmune disease. He listens and genuinely cares about his patients.
Dr. Watterson is very caring and he listens. I had my first appointment with him in March, I've had a lot of blood work done. I have gone through some medication changes to find the ones that work best for me. His staff are very kind and helpful. I highly recommend anyone who needs to see a Rheumatologist to please call his office.
Dr Watterson is now in Lenoir City, TN. Went there today and found him to be personable and informative. Found his diagnosis to be on point and in agreement with the family doctor. No wait, all staff were excellent.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
