List of Tamara Collins's Reviews
We moved her from Seattle I went in with new patient paperwork - there was no one at reception. I waited and waited and waited and waited. No one ever came so I went back to the desk in the back and found two women chatting. I was told very rudely that Dr Collins will see NO ONE who takes or needs controlled substances. My wife has been prescribed a pain killer for 15 years for chronic pain form an accident with NO problems. The "girl/woman" in the back was unprofessional and very rude. I kept my cool but she would not even let me even speak.. She told me to never come back to that part of the office. I told her no none was in the front at all - she didn't want to hear it. I took my paperwork and left. I'm shocked at how this office is run. I have no idea how good the care is because I didn't get that far. All I know is that I have a choice in medical care, and this is not my pick.
Dr Collins has seniors come for annual Wellness Checkup, then later in year for blood work. She doesn’t sugarcoat, she is honest and tells you if you don’t lose weight you’re more prone to diabetes and stroke. You need to walk at least 30 minutes daily and not dawdle, but at a brisk pace and cut down on carbs. She’s good about recommending a specialist if needed.
A new resident went for a 1:30 appointment. Arrived at 1:15. Unfortunately, she was told the incorrect time. Appointment time was 1 o’clock, she was 15 minutes late. Dr. Collins refused to see her today and anytime in the future. Not a warm welcome to the Glade.
Dr. Collins office is in Fairfield Glade. Before becoming a patient of hers you must fill out a couple of lengthy forms. These forms are not available online. So, I drove to her office and waited in line for about 60 minutes to get the forms. Social distancing was not followed in her outer office. There were some communication issues that ensued prior to my finally being accepted as a new patient. These could have been handled much better than they were by her staff.
I was a corporate health care fiduciary. First, Crossville Medical Group is dishonest on insurance websites, stating ALL their docs are accepting new patients. Yet when I called, I was told only one, Dr. Collins was accepting new patients. Second, the staff LOST all the copies of medical records I was asked to deliver prior to being "accepted" as a patient. I found this out the day of my appointment. I scheduled a physical, but I learned afterwards, it was a consultation (no what I asked for). Dr. Collins padded the number of appointments I needed -- 3 instead of 1 to increase revenue. My insurance would only pay for one, the physical. And she added more blood work than I requested. For example, she coded thyroid as diagnostic when no issues with meds or dosage and added a Vitamin D test when I just moved to TN from FL and specifically asked her not to. All of this added up to extra cost. I asked for recoding on bloodwork prior to getting it done and Dr. C refused.
Best doctor ever. Dr. Collins is very up to date, highly intelligent, yet speaks to me in a language that I can understand. She leaves no stone unturned and with my issues, I owe my life to her. She tells it like it is and makes sure you have the information necessary to make good healthy decisions. I feel like she, and her staff, truly cares.
We’ve been patients of Dr. Collins since her office opened in Fairfield Glade four or five years ago. Finally we have a doctor who DOES something! Prior to her, everyone was ‘Wait and see” about my husband’s medical challenges especially. When she took over our care, she hit the floor running. She has expected both of us to take control of our end of our care and we have become a team to find what was needed. When she needed to, she was open to refer us to specialists who have also joined the team. She works well with them. Today we’re doing much better and are each motivated to do our part too. She’s not afraid to tell us what needs to be done.
Best doctor in Crossville!!!
Dr Collins is always very thorough and has explained things about my conditions other doctors have ever told me! She and I together develop my treatment plan. I have referred her many times to new residents.
Went to the FFG office for blood tests for another physician she recommended to me. Was told I was no longer her patient because I asked another doctor in Crossville Medical Group a question. That is utter nonsense and so unprofessional! I had the blood test at her lab and then found out she dropped me as a patient after I left her office. So she did not authorize the blood test to be processed which I found out from another doctor who was waiting for the results. Then the following day the record of my lab visit was erased from the medical portal though it had been there the day before.! Had to quickly get another blood test from CMC before my appointment for the recommended physician. Looks like she was covering her tracks by erasing medical information from my health record. Who does that!?! SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND NOT TO BE TRUSTED!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
