Dr McKenzie is the kindest most compassionate psychiatrist I have ever had the honor to work with. She truly cares about her patients and their mental health.

I got really sick by the medications she gave me. There were too many to count and I don't remember any of them. Most of them had nothing to do with my condition and why I was there. Very bad experience.

Dr. McKenzie prescribed medications without even knowing the side effects they cause and she does NOT listen to patients when they attempt to communicate to her that the medications are causing serious problems. She also does not listen to family members who know the patient very well and express there concern about the drugs she over prescribes. It is a fact that a person with an intellectual disability can be harmed if prescribed antipsychotic medications. It is a fact that McKenzie is not educated properly on the medications she prescribes. I personally provided side effect information that she was clueless about and even then, she still prescribed the same damaging medications.

I also have a $900.00 co-pay bill from Omnicare over a 4 month period. Research your doctor. Research your medications. Your doc is a person with a paper that says they can prescribe meds. Unfortunately, most do not continue their education once they receive their initial degree.
