We were recommended Aviva Maybelle Carter by "A Place for Mom." Although we had to go with another facility due to my sister's physical condition, I was very impressed with the tour of the facility that was provided by Alicia. She was able to answer all of my questions, and made a point of following up on my sister's rehabilitation progress. If you're searching for an assisted living option, you should strongly consider Maybelle Carter.

Hands down the WORST place to live and work. The new company doesn't care about the residents they only care about money as if the new owners aren't rolling in it already. And also the new owners have no idea what they are doing. They saw old folks and saw dollar signs that's it. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR MEMAW. They can't keep good employees because the pay sucks, no real good benefit for them to stay, they overwork employees while the bosses sit in their closed offices also rolling in the dough. The director of nursing (Jessie) has got to be the laziest director/employee in that entire building but also one of the first to grab three meals a day. It used to be employees could have a meal a day no problem. Now they give 15 tickets a month to employees so they don't get a meal a day WHICH THEY DESERVE. But will feed all the investors and visitors for their monthly meeting with outsiders. Not to mention when owners and visitors come....they stay the night, eat three meals a day and don't pay a dollar. So how is it fair to take things away from residents but treat the people making 6 figures like gold? Without these residents they wouldn't have their six figures but hey let's keep taking things away. Employees use their 15 tickets and then have to use their low pay to buy more tickets. The kitchen staff gives residents portions smaller than what you would give your toddler and then tells them they can't have more. I worked there as a caregiver and when I tell you NEVER bring your loved ones here. The food is terrible like REAL BAD, the price is way too high for all the shit they have taken away from residents and how they treat them. Also all of the reviews for this company have been begged to get from current employees and their family. They actually had the activities department go around the dining room giving candy to people who left a review. Anyway they can screw your loved one or their employees best believe they will. Why do yall think so many have moved out? This place will ALWAYS be a shit show if ran by Lloyd jones or Aviva.

Many changes are taking place, things that were neglected and "pushed" under the rug by the previous owners. I'll be the first to admit that I have complained at the time some of the renovations were being done because I was inconvenienced but in the long run I have come to realize that the renovations or "changes" were done because they were necessary. The staff changes that have been made are AWESOME and they are working hard to accommodate the residents whenever possible and Maybelle Carter is thriving and coming back to life once more! Keep up the good work Aviva Maybelle Carter!

This place has been a blessing for our family. I will admit we felt like we had so many choices in the community it to as overwhelming but we couldn't be any more pleased with moving forward with Aviva Maybelle Carter! Give this place a shot you won't be sorry! The staff is so great across the board. Chef made meals have really been a nice addition also.

My grandma has been here for the past 6 months and the staff has been the most influential in her success after being in the hospital. I'm so thankful she decided on Aviva Maybelle Carter for her next phase in life. She's made so many great friends and enjoys the activities. I would like to say the administration team has been so helpful with helping her adapt and understanding the importance of social engagement now that she's a widow. Thank you all!
