I have been seeing Dr. Smith for almost two years and can honestly say he has changed my life. When I first started seeing him, I was in so much pain and currently nearly pain free. His matter of fact approach helped me understand both my condition as well as treatment options. He explained, in ways that I could understand, that finding the best treatment can be a process and might take a little time, but he was very encouraging that we would find the best solution. It honestly was a relief to feel like someone took the time to really understand what I was trying to describe and was then persistent in working with me to find the best solution. He helped me see that there was a light at the end of the tunnel when I was so frustrated. Dr. Smith has remained very committed in helping me and I am very grateful for his kindness throughout this experience. For the first time, I felt like I was not alone in trying to solve this problem. I find him to be very dedicated and interested in his patients.

I was pleased with my first & second appt with Dr. Durand.He & staff are very professional,& caring.He made me feel comfortable,& he was very thorough with both visits.

Wonderful experience ! Dr. Durand was so caring and listened to all our concerns and answered all questions to where we completely understand. Staff was wonderful to deal with as well. I would highly recommend !

I'm not sure if it was an off day, but I wasn't very happy with how I was treated on my initial visit. I guess I had high expectations for a DR that's been doing this for many years and seemed to have good ratings... I at least hoped to be treated decently. I thought he was very short with me, cut me off if I had anything other than a yes or no answer. I know he brushed off some things I said as unimportant. I would think he would want details of what's going on with me as his patient. I tried to offer info on previous testing, results, and scheduled appts for others that are still in the works to catch him up on what my other DRs have done or are in the process of doing, and he insinuated I was wasting his time then, that I'm arguing and refusing treatment. I'm confused....And very upset. There's nothing worse than being shut down by a DR, feeling like they're not listening. And leaving feeling worse than when you came in.He asked a couple of times why I came to see him, I told him I was told by other treating DRs it's important I have a Rheumatologist for my autoimmune, and referred by my Primary...he actually said it's usually because they don't want to deal with it. And sounded like he was questioning their diagnosis anyway.I would rather go without a Rheumatologist, than to feel like this after leaving his office. I have a second visit scheduled, but feel very uneasy about it. Patients shouldn't feel this way. This was not a very good first impression.

I had my first visit today with Dr. Durand. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the amount of time he spent with me explaining my arthritis to me and offered a few ways for me to obtain pain relief. I’ve got to say, this is my first review of a doctor but I felt it warranted here. I would recommend Dr Durand to anyone who’s been having difficulties with arthritis so they too can enjoy the benefits of his knowledge and willingness to share. The entire staff are very friendly and helpful. I was able to get an appointment quickly too! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

He ordered blood tests but sent me away before they were performed with a page about fibromyalgia (which is not what I have, I don't fit the symptoms), so he had his mind made up already. Then I received a letter saying the test results are normal, he's going with the fibro diagnosis, farewell and good luck. They didn't even spell my name right. Nine months later I go to an orthopedist for a hand injury and learn I have the ulnar drift and joint degradation of someone far older. Strong symptoms-along with others- of rheumatoid arthritis. I'm now being referred to a competent rheumatologist who will do more than merely tick a few boxes and give up. After I left a message with Brett Smith's office regarding this, I have not received even the courtesy of a response. I might have been spared two foot surgeries, a hand injury and further physical degradation if he wasn't so set on dismissing me and sending me flying out the door.

I found Dr. Durand to be a delight. I wondered at first if he had any sense of humor at all but soon realised that Dr. Durand was simply being professional and courteous and as the session progressed he felt more comfortable smiling and sharing analogies. He asked many questions to learn of my particular symptoms and was very attentive to my replies and questions. It was all-in-all a lovely experience. But I'm not quite through. Will have to wait to see if/when test results are shared with me.
