Been here since 12:30pm it’s now 5:30pm…..ridiculous
I had to make several visits to Blount memorial because they could not figure out what was wrong with me I had to go to UT for that but those visits incurred several different bills I asked them several times to please combine the bills so I was making one payment instead of 10 they said they could not do that I would have to pay a little on each every month which added up to about $1,000 or more a month which is ridiculous so rather than get paid they sent them to collections seems like a stupid move to me I have tried repeatedly to get them to understand things my way unfortunately they don't understand anything anybody's way with their own I do not recommend this hospital especially if you want to keep what little money you have and any credit you may have built
Mediocre care at BEST. I've been prescribed penicillin for an infection that it wasn't applicable to, and I'm sure it is because the nurse practitioner I saw didn't believe me when I said I had an allergy. spoiler alert: I do. had to call and say that I was experiencing severe symptoms before being put on hold for 45 mins to get a new antibiotic prescribed. The women's care group is AWFUL. I go there regularly for a shot, and because I am young, I get judgemental looks from all the staff. I've been given the wrong size needle, had to be stuck 3 times by a FIRST DAY nurse, and shamed regularly for being on birth control for my excruciating period pain. the first time I was prescribed the shot, the lady looked at me and said that it wasn't a contraceptive, so I shouldn't "go looking for teen pregnancy." she deliberately lied to me, as it was a contraceptive as well as a pain management tool. only found out 3 months later at my second appointment.
My wife fell on the steps and hurt her foot, ankle, knee, and hip. She also banged her head. I took her to the BMH ER, since it was closest. I walked up to the reception window in the ER and asked if they had a wheelchair available. One of the four people sitting in the reception office held up her finger, as if to say, "Just a second." After several minutes of the four of them continuing their little pow wow, while obviously avoiding any eye contact with me, I left. We went to Tennova, Turkey Creek. There were wheelchairs at the entrance. There were people ready to help us. What a concept for an ER. Screw BMH!
I had stage 4 lymphoma this year. I saw 3 different doctors and several procedures and lots of bloodwork. I had the best care! No complaints at all! And, Blount Home Health Care is absolutely the best!
Beware. If I would’ve had a choice, I would have heeded the advice of most here and not gone to Blount ER. A biking accident left me with a wound on my knee that eventually required 11 stitches. I was stitched up in the hallway and left to myself to clean the dried blood from my leg/wound. The PA was very good. I didn’t have major issues until my bill came. I then asked for a received and itemized statement. When I called to have the charges explained, I learned that a syringe used to administer a numbing medicine (that cost $36.00) costs $146.00! For a syringe full of the medicine I paid for. This is just one example. Folks, if you can, go elsewhere!!
So very mad at what has happened!!!!! My mother went to blunt memorial twice last month. And both time treated as if she was crazy and nothing was WRONG!!!!! Yesterday I found my mother on my bathroom floor face down!!!!! She had a stroke!!!!! She was taken to Lecont medical center in Sevierville, they did a CT scan and found blood clots on her brain!!!!! BECAUSE BLOUNT MEMORIAL MY MOTHER HAD A STROKE!!!!!! If they had actually looked in to what may have been wrong this could have been prevented!!! If I have my way BLOUNT MEMORIAL will answer to THIS!!!!! Why couldn't they have taken the time to look into her medical issues!!!!!!
Horrible nasty er room! Staff does not care at all if you are dying. I was sent home twice! with bad infection that about took my life. I believe in karma and I pray for the ones that turn their heads away from the very very ill.
I am so disappointed with BLOUNT MEMORIAL UROLOGY DEPARTMENT. Kidney stones left in pain for almost a month and almost losing my job. I had no pay for all the time off I have to take. I had to insist on surgery. Secondly all communication by computer only with no considerations of the patient. More than once the computer scheduled an appointment which I was not notified or confirmed. If this place is so busy to not take care of patients and communicate then something better needs to be done by procedures. The office manager hung up on me today. My rating of this department is -10...
Half of the nurses are nice and the other half are as hateful as can be. Maybe they should consider another line of work.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
