He is a gem both in Manhattan and Queens ! I go to both his offices and the staff are wonderful ! He is kind , professional and extremely caring . He is also very approachable and tech savvy which helps ! He doesn't waste time and is on point . No other doctors office actually gets back to me promptly with bloodwork or any other messages . They have a very good system in place for communicating with patients .

Dr Rahman is rude, condescending, and does not take patients' concerns or symptoms seriously. He continuously undermined the pain and symptoms I was having. I never had this kind of experience with any other physician. I also felt very rushed out of his office and as if I was "bothering" him. I will certainly be taking my business and time to a caring and competent professional.

Truly incompetent and intentionally unhelpful front office staff. At every chance they had to correct unforced errors, they failed miserably.

I have THE WORST insurance but somehow got the best primary doctor in Manhattan? He is knowledgeable, listens, and really knows his stuff. They do bloodwork on site with fast results. His staff is amazing and responsive. Everyone is very nice and waiting room time is minimal. I feel so lucky to have access to such accommodating medical care for all my health needs. Also, his referrals to specialty doctors are great- he knows good specialists in NYC. Dr. Rahman is fantastic!

Dr. Rahman Is Great with a good bedside manner and takes his time with every patient. He is very good at diagnosing problems and does not over test or overmedicate. I do agree that his office is run down and needs a bit of TLC, and his staff is not the best. They are not communicative and not friendly when you call . I also don't like the fact that you can never talk to him when you call. But I do think he is a great physician, and highly recommend him.

I rarely write reviews about doctors but this clinic blew me away. Not only was Dr. Rahman very informative, he had great bedside manners and his staff was nothing but helpful. The best part was the blood test results came back almost immediately. I got it done on a Friday and the results were in by Monday. Talk about swift service! Their office is super tiny and nothing fancy but it is Manhattan. Everything is expensive and hey, they get the job done. I just hope I won't receive a bill in the mail. :/

Even though I saw this doctor THREE times in a row for a problem I was having...a few weeks later when I needed a refill on a prescription, the office just said "NO". When I called FOUR times to please ask to speak with the doctor to refill my cough medicine as I was away on a business trip and unable to sleep at all from the coughing (not one decent night of sleep) NO ONE bothered to call back. I needed to be in top shape for business and instead I was a wreck. They just wanted to collect another $200 to write the prescription. PLEASE have some compassion for sick people in need.Additionally, he told me the results of my tests were fine...when they were NOT. That is very dangerous, I am glad I followed up with a different doctor.

Dr. Rahman is an excellent doctor. He is very knowledgeable and thorough, and I was a happy patient from 2016-2018. However, his staff is the complete opposite. The office also looks like it has seen better days. The lighting is dim and the paint is coming apart.After 3 years, I finally had a billing issue. They billed $719 in lab tests to my insurance for an ANNUAL PHYSICAL. As a patient, I expected this visit to be free. I brought in a work form with 4 basic questions (height, weight, cholesterol, BP), and did not expect 10+ blood tests to be done. His staff has awful communication skills. They do not answer emails or return phone calls. I called about the issue 5 times and they never followed up until I got pushy about the topic. They will instantly defer to calling insurance or the lab, and place the blame on them.The tests they billed as preventative are not considered preventative by my insurance. Some were considered preventative for people over age 40 (I'm 28), and others were for people with pre-existing conditions. They did not check or inform me that these tests would be done. Everyone I spoke to said the office shouldn't have done these tests without checking insurance for an estimate. I sent the office a link to the list of preventative tests from my insurance for next time. Their response? They sent a rude email saying the link doesn't work. The link works by the way. You have to fill in the Age and Gender fields, so you don't run lipid tests on someone who is under age 40 and doesn't have a pre-existing condition. But reading comprehension and patient planning is too much to expect from this staff. They also insisted that it's my responsibility to check these tests with my insurance in advance; these are again tests that I didn't even know were going to be done that day. This is such an unprofessional medical staff. All finger-pointing, and no accountability.

I liked Ahmadur Rahman a lot. Good doctor. However unless you are rich I would not recommend going to this office. I made such an effort to find out about all costs before my visit (calling office 3 times + my insurance, once I saw the doctor I called my insurance from waiting room to find out exact cost again). Because I have large student loans, I need to budget and be aware of all costs. I thought that after how thorough I had been before and during the doctors visit I would not be hit with any unexpected bill. I was wrong. I have been billed random amounts twice. It has not at all been clear what this was for. I also feel that as a doctor working in the USA (unless you only treat rich patients) you should have some idea of what things cost and whether your patient could afford these charges. Because of these two separate billing issues I will not return to the office.

I really like Dr. Rahman a lot. He is an excellent doctor. He's knowledgable, has a great manner about him, conveys knowledge and builds trust. His office is a mess, though, so be prepared for long wait times and very poor follow-up. It's a tough pill to swallow but I do so because I like him, he is good, and he's close by. But the office staff are so poorly organized. Currently I am trying to have records faxed to another doctor who he recommended to me, a specialist. I have called his office 4 times, as well as the other doctor, and the records still are not faxed. That's 8 calls in total and no action. It's beyond frustrating and I am pretty much at my wits end.
