My Dad has been sitting in the ER for hours getting shocked by his internal defibrillator MULTIPLE TIMES and the cardiologistelectrophysiologist wont come in and do his procedure until 12p tomorrow which is over 14 hours from now. They arent changing his meds or doing anything other than let him lay in an ER bed. I understand they are busy because of covid but jeeze do something. If he doesnt make it because they dragged their feet his death will be on their hands.
The outpatient diagnostic testing dept is amazing I had multiple tests scheduled today XR US labs... and I was planning on being there about 4 hours to get all this done. They had me out in 2 hours Each department walked me personally to the next for a seamless transfer. They were each kind and curteous. I had all of my labs resulted within a few hours I have never had testing done and results in the same day let alone available at my fingertips. I got an email with each result.
As a health specialist go to another emergency care center. I am truly disgusted with the lack of empathy and care from staff. Yes I know your job is long and stressful I know how the staff feels with this. But when I went in different times one for myself suffering from a rapid UTI that was spreading quickly to my kidneys and another for my sister being admitted for psychological traumaI cant see how all the staff kept their jobs. I was not given medicine despite the anguish and tears I was in from bacteria spreading across my urinate tract. I cried and bled over the toilet for three hours wishing I was dead. The other time for my sister she slept in a filthy room with another patients blood on the bed and sat with an empty IV that bruised her arm over and over. I promptly removed the IV with the expertise I had and equipment I found in the room. Nurses said she couldve died when I took out the IV morons they clearly didnt know any better and rather gossip and bitch in the hallway anyways. What you can take away from this review? Their staff is laughable all failures to what it means to be a health care provider. All you who work here find another job you guys arent cut out for it. Stop making patients suffer more than they already are.
I must preface my comments saying the ICU care was excellent. But BMH has to be the worst hospital in the city for inpatient care. Communication is a very big problem. Questions go unanswered and on the floor most NursesPCAs very slow to respond. Many times have had to call several times for assistance before anyone responded. Ex IV stopped called desk 1130PM and again 1215AM. Nurse responded at 1230AM. Several times meals were not delivered and had to be requested. Medical waste was left in bathroom until end of shift etc. some NursesPCAs were excellent in their professionalism but too many appeared to be there just for the paycheck. The situation may be a case of understaffed and overworked but the overall image projected is a very poor one.
My fiancé went into the hospital last night. After about 18 hours he got into a room. I brought his life saving sleep apnea mask to the hospital as soon as he got a room and was told it would be taken to him immediately since no visitors were allowed but the nurses still have not brought the mask to him after multiple calls from him having problems breathing. Absolutely unbelievable.
Great facility with friendly helpful staff. A family member was admitted for wound care and PT. The staff was amazing and the rooms were clean.
When I came to ER I didnt expect to stay a week. There were a couple of bad apples but overall the nursing staff was fantastic. I was impressed that the gift shop had fantastic iPhone chargers at a reasonable cost. Finally had my laptop dropped off to continue working but the WiFi was so horrifyingly slow that I had to drop 2 stars on the rating.
This has got to be the worse healthcare experience I have ever experienced in my lifetime. It takes 45 minutes to get someone to come help get my Mom out of the bed to pee on the portable potty. The nutrition department doesnt go by what is requested by the doctor or the RN on the computer but instead keeps bringing items that my Mom cannot eat and the same lady keeps saying it is someone elses fault. This has happened three days in a row and they didnt even bring her breakfast this morning. The worse place possible.
Had severe whiplash and this was the closest hospital. After I was treated and several days later I got a bill for 10000 dollars and it said I was out of network. They never told me this or I would have went over to Methodist hospital. I will never forget or forgive them.
Its upsetting enough to have a family member in icu for 5 days now and still with no response to our request to speak with a physician. We just want to know whats going on with Dad. As a physicians ourselves my brother and I are working very long hours along with everyone and proud to do so. I entirely understand the demand we are up against. Compromising patient quality of care is unacceptable. The nurses constant request to try again tomorrow is shameful.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
