List of Bashar Shala Md's Reviews
After my initial visit I was scheduled for a echo the next day. Appointment was at 1:15. After sitting in the waiting room for two hours I went to desk and asked why so long. They took me back and did test. No apology from front desk staff. You would think they would notice someone sitting there so long. Technician was great and apologized for wait, she did not know I was there. Then I get a call Saturday saying I missed apointment. Front desk needs training on customer service and relations. Doctor Shala was great and took his time. I will stay with him in spite of his poor office staff.
Dr. Shala is a kind, supportive and empathetic doctor, which goes a long way in my book. The wait time in his office can be a little frustating at times, but I suspect it is because he's good at what he does and a lot of folks want to see him. My mom had been his patient for a number of years. We are grateful for his support.
New patient. Been there twice haven’t seen him yet only PA
The waiting is too long, then you have to wait some more after you go inside and the doctor only see you a few minutes.
Great personal skills, very thorough with detailing his opinions and advice. Excellent reputation. Takes time with patients.
He is a great doctor! He’s saved my life! He truly cares about his patients and always follows up.
Dr. Shala is a caring doctor with a tremendous amount of substance and gravitas. He gives you straight answers while considering all aspects of the patient care. His PA and NP’s are equally good. Would recommend him to anyone seeking excellent cardiac care.
I was sent to Dr Shala to diagnose me with an autonomic disorder because several doctors had already diagnosed but the formal diagnosis had to come from a cardiologist. I told his PA or NP this during the initial visit but she was very dismissive and apparently did not share this information with Dr Shala so fast forward to several over dosings of medications and appointments later Dr Shala gets angry with me during our appointment because I won't consistently take the medications he has prescribed but when I do my blood pressure and heart drop to dangerous levels. So after confronting his attitude with me because he refused to even listen when I was trying to answer him, he tells me that he does not diagnose autonomic disorders and he will have to refer me to another cardiologist that specializes in that. ALL of THIS could have been avoided had they taken the time to really listen during the first visit, convey the information to the doctor (all of it, not selectively), and not treated me like garbage because of their frustration. How do you think I feel?!!?!?!???????!!!!! Life is hard enough especially when you are ill, so to have to deal with judgmental, almighty doctors and healthcare staff makes it much more difficult! If I wanted to waste my time, money, energy, and be treated like that then yeah I could see his frustration but that was not the case. I don't have the time, money, or energy to waste on people that treat me like garbage, judge me without cause, and refuse to listen.
Excellent care from the entire staff.
Over two hour waiting time. Left no made another appointment. Over one hour wait the second time and Dr Shala had not looked over my chart and tests and seemed a bit confused. Third follow up visit over an hour wait and never saw Dr Shala only his PA. It was a waste my valuable time and ended up seeing another specialist.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
