Caroline Young's Online Review Report Card

Found out 20+ years later that she messed up on my Hepatitis B vaccine series so I have to get vaccinated in my now late 20s. She's extremely rude, will choke you while feeling for your lymph nodes in the neck, will try to convert you to being religious (spend 90% of the appointment, give you a BIBLE, and some religious coin), and ultimately not actually help you with your health (just stated I'm fat and did not make any substantial suggestions). Horrible pediatrician. Parents, STAY AWAY FROM HER!! She will scare your kids and not help in any way. As an added bonus, you will almost always hear her screaming at someone in her office (whether it's her Medical Assistants or her actual patients)

She is professional, knowledgeable, caring and thorough. I couldn’t trust her more or encourage you to select her for your medical journey. Dr Young was a crucial part of my cancer team. I am so appreciative of her office and technical staff, as well, making this difficult situation a calming environment. They are an awesome team!

If there's a board that is reviewing the professionalism of a doctor. After 3 years with Kaiser, my 5 year old daughter is coming back to Dr. Yong as her patient, during her first visit, Dr. Yong did a extreme thorough examination on her, and she managed to pull a small letter "S" from her right ear channel! Judging from my daughter's experience and reaction, it has been there for quite a while! No one but Dr. Yong was able to identify and solve the problem! Thank you so much Dr. Yong! You are the best!

She is very perfessional！We glad that we swiched my daughter's pediatrician from Kaiser to Dr Yong！Phoebe的儿科医生-Dr Yong昨天为她检查身体的时候发现耳屎太多，决定帮女儿清理。在Phoebe强烈抗拒和一直哭闹的压力下，Dr Yong坚持她的原则--一定要清理干净直到她可以看到耳膜！让我们当父母的都于心不忍，但是在她的坚持下发现了藏于Phoebe耳内多年的异物！！！从来没听女儿抱怨过耳朵不舒服的我们震惊了，同时佩服Dr Yong的专业！看来从Kaiser转到Blueshield是非常正确的选择！之前在Kaiser看了4年，每次体检都没发现这个异物...分享这个给各位妈妈，小孩的耳膜检查很重要，而且不要自己帮孩子清理耳屎！好的儿科医生很重要！

You shouldn't have to go to your doctor feeling insecure and criticized about your life choices. I found myself constantly lying about how sick I was, my life choices, and my side effects out of fear of being belittled. I called once since I had a persistent cough for about 3 weeks and upon reaching her she was rushed, saying I was wasting her time. I decided not to see her, to which my cough became so bad it progressed to pneumonia. At this point, I had no choice but to come in for antibiotics, telling myself just to avoid her hostility. I came in 5 minutes late where she actually went out of her way to yell at me and my sister. I've also had reoccurring UTI's and infections to which I went to an independent clinic since God knows what she'll say about my sexual choices. She's super religious, she gave me a long speech about waiting til marriage to have sex and she gives out Christian coins and mini bibles in hopes of converting her patients. It's ridiculous. Caroline Yong is rude and cold pediatrician. I grew up with a welcoming and understanding pediatrician who sadly retired, thus resulting in switching to Dr. Yong. The difference between the two are about night and day, and I definitely wouldn't recommend her to ANYONE.

Update: Dr. Yong sent me a very disturbing rant/letter a while ago (my mother had hidden it from me), berating and threatening me for my review of her. I really would not recommend her.

First of all, my family has been with Dr. Yong for years. She has been a good pediatrician during this time. She talks very often about the negative reviews that she receives on Yelp and other platforms that rate her practice. Now I know why.This last year has been a horrible experience with Dr. Yong. We have been billed multiple times for one visit to the office. We have also been told that we need to pay double for an undisclosed reason (in which we continue to decline). This month, I also had a check up appointment scheduled for when I returned from my business abroad. I specified that, because of the time between the appointment was made and the actual date of the appointment was so long that I would need a weeks+ reminder prior to the scheduled date. Dr. Yong called to remind me of our appointment 15 minutes prior to my appointment date, and said that if I failed to show up within 15 minutes, I would need to pay $50 per person. I refuse to pay this fee and will look for legal action if she continues to bill me. If she thinks she can scam me for my money, she has another thing coming. Be wary of Dr.Yong.

If only negative stars were possible. Never have I met a doctor who so blatantly violates the hippocratic oath. Her attitude is horrible and is extremely offensive. I came in a little bit overweight and she told me that I should stop eating. She is also a religious fanatic, she constantly quotes the bible regarding her success, and claims that if I do not go to church I will never be successful in my life. She offers me a bible everytime I walk out, and i take her advice just to stop her from lecturing me. I probably have a good 20 bibles now, thinking about selling them on ebay.Do not come here. Horrible experience. You have been warned.
